VLOG | My Boyfriend Surprised Me With An 8 Week Old Puppy! Gergana Ivanova

I thought we were going to dinner but instead my boyfriend walked in with an 8 week old puppy!! My heart is still melting by this cutie. He's such an angel and one of the sweetest dogs ever. My boyfriend and I both love dogs, so sharing one together definitely felt like next right step in our relationship. I'm so excited for this new member of our family. Tips for new puppies! 1. Get an xpen. It allows puppy more room and makes potty training way easier. Cover the entire floor in the area of the play pen with pee pads. 2.Take a used potty pad and put it outside. 3. To train puppy on collar and leash. For small puppies harnesses are recommended to reduce trauma on their throats as they are prone to collapsing trachea. 4. To train on collar and leash. Put the collar and leash on in the house and let him get used to having them there. It's a foreign sensation. Praise with treats to get him to associate it with something good(in this case treats). 5. Do NOT allow him to go where other dogs have gone until he receives his last vaccines at 16 weeks. This is to prevent PARVO which young puppies are extremely susceptible to. 6. Keep him on a schedule. Puppies that young can not hold their bladder for more than 2 hours at a time. Make sure to take him out upon waking and after every meal. 7. Toys are a god send! 8. To get him used to sleeping in his crate, place an item of yours(a towel or umwashed shirt) with your scent on it in the crate covering a hot water bottle. Or SNUGGLE PUPPY which can be found on amazon is a good thing to have. It provides comfort and a heartbeat.

I know you’re so in love, but you guys are making big mistakes with this dog first mistake not sleeping in the bed with you. Second mistake not supposed to walk outside until he is fully vaccine. Put him in his crate let him get used to not being so dependent on you so that you can leave your home. Let him cry he’s OK I know it’s your baby but You gotta set some boundaries. These dogs are very smart and intelligent and he will manipulate you as he’s doing watch some videos it will help. He’s biting because he’s teething.
