I was also diagnosed with Lupus (in 1999) during a tumultuous time in my marriage (I am also now divorced). Like you, I was in a toxic marriage & during the roughest times, my lupus would flare so badly. After leaving that marriage & then going down a spiritual path (meditation, etc), I haven’t had a flare in over six years. My doctors can no longer even find the ANA in my bloodwork & it’s always been present. Being happy, taking care of yourself & living authentically goes a long way for your physical & mental health. Anyway, I have a feeling you are also going to have less issues with lupus as you move forward with your life. xo

Genuine reaction: The last time I saw a video of yours, it was about your divorce. You, obviously and understandably were not in a great headspace at the time. A random video of yours showed up on my recommended feed today and I really must say that it really is encouraging to see your true personality come out in a video like this. Just a little advice for your next roast. If you want it flavourful, I recommend marinating it first, in a sauce that you like. I usually go with club house montreal steak marinade rub. It is thick and flavourful. Rub it all over and leave it to marinate in the fridge overnight. Then cook it. Otherwise, it will come out tasting bland.

FYI - that umami can be found in pot roast by literally adding soy sauce to the same pot pre-oven. cook it out for about 10-15 before adding the red wine. try it please. slow cooked it is otherworldly ❤

Oh I think I’ve seen Drew from Lone Fox shopping at that same place you got the tree and definitely pricey but so gorgeous! Check out his channel and he often goes to a flee market on the weekends that you might be interested in trying for things with that vibe that seems a lot more budget friendly.

If your looking to add umami flavor to pot roast, then add peeled roasted peppers; Worcestershire about a tablespoon; in an herb pouch put bay, dried small chili, fresh time, and fresh rosemary); and top with feta or goat cheese.

Secret ingredient to my pot roast that I feel gives it that rich flavor you were talking about is balsamic vinegar! Also try putting the meat on top of the potatoes and veggies and onions rather than under and you don’t want too much liquid. Pot roast is the one meal I feel I have down lol (otherwise hubby is the chef in this house).

@@ribby109so I always sear the pot roast with salt and pepper on the stove first and then layer it on top of onions and veggies in the pot. Then I put tons of crushed garlic on the meat and then just sprinkle the balsamic vinegar all over the meat and veggies. I don’t measure but it’s not like things are soaking in vinegar or anything just enough to give that rich flavor. I also just do a little stock or water at the bottom of the pot for liquid but I actually ladle out some liquid half way through cooking to make sure the meat doesn’t sit in liquid and boil too much. I feel like that really bumps up the flavor. Pot roast is a lot of and error lol. Ya gotta find what is right for you!

I saw you seasoning it and was like oh girl not enough seasoning!! I flopped so many roasts until I finally found a good recipe. I use a packet of ranch seasoning, 1 packet Italian seasoning and 1 packet brown gravy. 1/2 stick butter and 1 c liquid. Then you could add other stuff to get those flavors! You could add wine and broth for your liquid and you can leave out the ranch and I would just do a couple generous helpings of salt.

Lots of garlic needed for your next pot roast. And marinate the meat for a day with soy sauce, whole head of fresh garlic, Himalayan Salt, ground black pepper, olive oil and a good grainy mustard. Add a hot pepper when roasting with your veg. Yummy

Maybe try a tablespoon or two of miso paste in the pot roast before you deglaze with wine! 😋
