Hey Shaneka…I used to experience the exact same thing and was miserable. Let me tell you what stopped those symptoms. When I began fasting and changed my diet to a more keto based diet, the bloating and other symptoms went away. I drink tea everyday just as if I was taking daily medications ( organic green tea, ginger tea, lemon water and turmeric tea) I cut out rice, potatoes, bread and sugary beverages along with walking atleast 4 miles a day. Cut the processed foods. A lot of food that we are used to consuming contains so much chemicals that it causes inflammation to our bodies in many forms including bloating and hormonal imbalance. Don’t let the ‘by the book old way of doctoring’ prescribe you medications. You control what goes into your body. Great video, as always ✌🏽 Sorry so long.

I find that being as gluten free as possible helps with my symptoms. As well as cutting out caffeine. So i drink decaf coffee, cutting back on sugar as much as possible, drinking plenty of water, taking pre/pro-biotics, exercise (yoga). Daily I am taking a multi-vitamin, vitamin D, vitamin C, and magnesium. I also have been using an L-Glutamine powder every morning mixed with collagen powder in water. I am 47 years young and my symptoms have gotten worse as I age. If I am consistent with all of the above I see a reduction in my symptoms so they do not disrupt my day-to-day life during the PMS phase and my actual cycle. I take Tylenol and ibuprofen if the cramps are bothering me, usually only on day 3 of my cycle. Hope this info helps anyone reading this. Also raspberry leaf tea is good as well.

Girl, red raspberry leaf and peppermint tea (I put both tea bags in one mug) has worked WONDERS for my cycle. I feel relief within 30 minutes. Since the weather is so hot right now, I like it chilled. So, I’ll put the bags in a travel mug or glass bottle with a lid, add honey, add water, and chill it in the fridge overnight to ‘steep’ as if I’m making cold brew. You really have to stir the honey in well the next day if you do it this way, but it WORKS. I also like to take iron and/or a super or complete B-complex supplement once my cycle actually starts. Those are also great. And happy belated birthday!!! 🎉

So I just began using a period tracking app since last year and it has helped me a lot. So when I'm alerted about it starting soon I make sure to cut caffeine and alcohol, uptick on my iron intake(for me supplements and iron rich foods),I allow myself to feel the feelings while also checking myself when I feel extreme irritable coming. I literally treat my body as if I were postpartum. I also swear by raspberry leaf tea for mood and cramps!! I've noticed my period isn't as heavy and doesn't last as long. I hope those tips can help! Coming someone who used to leave school early due to bad cramps, I understand your pain girl ❤

Too much estrogen can worsen PMS symptoms. Since I'm not on birth control I take a supplement to balance my hormones. I would limit my sugar intake, caffeine, and processed food at least a week or two before my period. Also, I avoid milk-based products and focus on organic foods, fewer pesticides, additives, and antibiotics which create high levels of estrogens. Raspberry leaf tea and Black Cohosh are two of my favorites.

I’ve found that PCOS has definitely made my period and the two weeks before pretty miserable. I think that unfortunately for women with PCOS (or other hormonal imbalances)we do experience worse pms and periods. Cycle syncing my food and exercise throughout my entire cycle has helped definitely alot when it comes to symptoms- as well red raspberry leaf tea the week or two leading up to my cycle. Wishing you all the best sis! ❤️ Also Alisa Vitti has a book out that is very helpful when it comes to cycle syncing, improving reproductive health, etc. I found it to be a very good read when trying to figure out what was going on with my cycle and symptoms and how to balance my hormones having PCOS.
