Yes there is something very satisfying about repotting plants. It's one reason I don't think I could ever completely convert to leca. I like the pots and the dirt too much. I really enjoy your videos! In addition to your plant care, I really enjoy seeing your life in the big city and of course, Ollie!
@mypetitegarden4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree thats why I don't think I can fully convert over to LECA either. I actually find myself converting some plants back to potting soil just because I miss it 🤣.

I love your repot videos. For me, repotting causes anxiety, always worried about soil mix etc. I bought Leca and nutrients (like yours), hopefully this will make repotting easier. Love the sun stressed Variegated Lipstick plant. Have a wonderful day!

Very peaceful video and love your H. caudata sumatra. Read in another comment that you're not the biggest fan of the foliage but I find it absolutely gorgeous, as if it had little lichen on its surface, it's a very "wild looking" foliage to me and it is actually the only Hoya I'm on the lookout for, although finding it very difficult to get a hold on in the EU.
@mypetitegarden4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, I'm sure some people like yourself find the foliage very beautiful and stunning. It definitely looks like something you would find in the forest somewhere. I personally take more of a liking to more veiny foliage. I hope you find one soon!

Hey Stacy of course I share your feeling...the therapeutical side of repotting...but it may cause me loads of stress and anxiety when it comes to thrips and bugs...I'm struggling right now and I'm terrified..they chose my beautiful Anthurium Clarinervium and my magnificent Fiddle leaf fig,Philo etc...damn thrips they are def the worst...but halas plants and bugs are linked, forever...spec when one has a big collection.
@mypetitegarden4 жыл бұрын
I completely understand, dealing with pests is when the anxiety and stress sets in when it comes to being a plant mom especially if your collection is on the larger side. Unfortunately, it is going to be a part of the process with plants 😪 because pests can be controlled but it will always be around & show up from time to time.

The variegated lipstick plant is so lovely!! When you put on the soil topper, is it harder to check to see if the plant needs watering? I love the look of it

Your repotting videos are my favorite! so relaxing! Do you have any issues with mealy bugs and your Hoyas? I'm struggling with two of my Hoyas and mealy bugs. I keep them under control but there is always one or two :( Any pointers on how to get Hoyas to bloom?

Hi love your videos so relaxing can you tell us how you deal with pests ? Have you had pest since you have such a large number of plants
@mypetitegarden4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I deal with pests on the regular but I try to catch them early by inspecting frequently. I also talk about pests on my Q&A video if you are interested but I will definitely try to make a video dedicated to this topic.

Hey super love watching your videos! Really relaxing and I get inspired by your lovely plant collection. What do you call the small white stuff you use as top dressing please? And what kind of potting mix do you use? I live in London UK and want to find the closest match here as the ones on your Amazon links are not available here :(

I highlight everything from my top dressing to my potting soil mix in my "Houseplant Potting Soil Mix" video that was uploaded a few weeks ago.

Love your videos and your ig too, one of my favorites! I was wondering if you put white rocks on top of the soil for aesthetics or to prevent fungus gnats? If it's for the second reason, does it work?
