Becca, I have just loved all your consistent uploads on this channel. You help remind me that living a cute, crafty, and reasonably sustainable life is totally within reach without going absolutely ham (which my ADHD brain would otherwise LOOOVE to do). Thank you for being you and for sharing your beautiful home with us! Love from AZ 💖

In Sweden, we don’t generally decorate for many holidays/seasons other than Christmas and for me, I love bringing out the same old things and enjoying them for a few weeks because until next Christmas, you almost forget some stuff you have! And with trends, it’s impossible to know if you’ll like it the next year so why not slowly find pieces you know is timeless to YOU! Also love having Christmas decor that have been my parents or grandparents before, makes it so much more special. Glad you’re in this mindset too! Refreshing to see influencers/youtubers not spam your feed with new, new, new, new 😅

I use the same stuff every year bc isn’t the main thing the memories of it all? Like I have a blow mold Santa here in Texas that traveled from Philly when my parents were married, to Buffalo with me, and then to Texas with me.

DYI idea for the giant bell: Dollar Tree...2 big plastic bowls...cut out shapes using cookie cutters as stencils...glue the 2 halves together. Get a smaller bowl (put a hole or 2 to string a bow) and glue on the top. Paint. String a bow on and voila! Bell!

For me, I find acquiring holiday decor to be an "investment" and birthday decor "disposable". I like they become keepsakes! 💕 Oh! A tip when it comes to seasonal decor. A brand may not necessarily continue that product the following year (remember: trends). If you're thinking about getting another garland, get it now! There's no guarantee they'll continue production next year. There's also the possibilities they might alter it a bit the following year too. Then you get mix-matched garlands. When it comes to seasonal decor, you don't wanna regret it and beat yourself up about it.

Maybe tuck in a few frosted sprays on the mantle, I liked the look in the vase. I love that shelf I think when I leave here I might go order one I have a spice jar collection that might look cute on that. I did the audiobook on that lol.

I found a cabinet at habitat for humanity that i have on my bathroom counter. It fits a bit more stuff and the closed door is nice. But it is easy to reach. Now i'm considering whether to actually caulk it in or just leave it free standing. it's kind of nice that it isn't permanent, but it does look a bit unfinished. Function over form atm.

The bathroom is usually the most humid room in the house so I never put medicine in there. I keep mine in te pantry.

I also got I’d of all my holiday decor that take up extra storage for most of the year like throw pillows and blankets. I have colors that can be used year round but not holiday themed.

We re use our Christmas decorations every year. Also the tree. For the Christmas tree we get one new ornament every year my son is 10 now have had since then. Is nice looking back on them for memories. Also his 1st Christmas stocking. Also his 1st time seeing Santa too. I feel this new house looks very dark and gloomy and cold. Is the lighting not good in this new home?

Tie the ornaments with small plastic hair ties to baby proof.
