your obvi so talented you dont need limit yourself by trying to be artistically legible...monochrome painting is hard because 1. it was only subversive 65 years ago 2. its total cohesion makes it hard to interpret for details/drama etc. But i think you should allow more mistakes/ awkwardness. Michael krebber does this with his minimalism and it works really welll The center panel being a center line is just so on the nose. making such pleasing paintings (think etsy search: black abstract wall art line monochrome chic) and then to also be totally legible (obvious) makes them look more and more like decorations for interiors, whether or not that was the point There feels like alot is being held back but in a "Im hesitant to paint so i will just produce something most people will say is pretty" and not in a "Im hesitant to paint so i will paint black as a cancellation/meditation of/on the complexities of my practice the paintings are well made though and would look great in pretty much any room/establishment. but is that what you wanted... I love your videos please keep making them!

Hey, sorry for the late reply but I wanted to make sure I fully, or as much as I could, understood what you’ve written. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to give me the critical feedback I needed. I do imagine it took some time to type out and I really appreciate it. Secondly, I agree that my art is self-limiting with the idea of something needing to look good at the back of my mind. My personality in and of itself remains too aware with how I may be presenting myself at any given moment and to be told that that trickles down into my art is something I direly needed to be pointed out. Hence why a lot of what I’ve made exists more as an aesthetic image than I would like for it to. You’ve posed some good questions for me to think about and I hope I can receive future feedback if possible. Thanks again φ(^∇^ )
