When I first started using RetinA I would put Vaseline on the corners of my mouth and around my nostrils before applying the RetinA and it really helps protect from over drying those areas. Under your eyes too!

I use the blistex in a blue little bottle. The laneige lip mask helps a bit. I use face oils and add extra around my nose and mouth. Also the milky face spray from pixi is amazing!

I am a licensed esthetician. Using RetinA is ok on this skin but you really really want to follow up with hydration. Hyaluronic acid is a great way to give your skin a drink of water. It’s great for moisture retention. Applying it to damp skin and following up with a moisture rich moisturizer will make a huge difference.

I use Cerave moisturize cream morning and night. I put good amount in the morning. It is thick but will help you from feeling the affects of dryness. Apply Rentin A after it has dried at night.

I follow a Plastic Surgeon and for chapped lips he suggested putting water on your lips, hyaluronic acid serum (I use the ordinary) on top of your wet lips and seal with Vaseline/aquaphor or some time of thick salve and I haven’t had chapped lips since I started doing that. I do it before I go to bed and in the morning. I do something similar for my skin but usually follow the serum with a thicker sunscreen like black girl sunscreen for the day. I have eczema prone skin so sometimes I’ll use la roche posay’s toleriane spf moisturizer or the lipikar ap+ under sunscreen. And at night I use a thick night cream

For your skin I’d say to try the weleda skin food! And lips I know it’s gonna sound weird but trust me… nipple cream for breastfeeding I KNOW ITS SOUNDS CRAZY but trust meeee it’s pure lanolin and that shiz will help with the pain of the dryness and heal them up really quick! And it’s very inexpensive!

A really deep moisturizing cream is the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair cream. I use it in the winter cause even though LA doesn’t get super cold, my skin gets dry. Also, where did you get that Torta from??? It looks so good ✨

Hey! When I used Retin-A & other drying acne meds the only thing that worked for my lips was the Lip Medex Blistex (little blue tub). Use it at night or in the morning while getting ready and then by the time you want to wear a lip color your lips are good for the day. Hope this helps!

I recommend A+D ointment…or the vitacilina ointment ( green tube). At night wear it all over your dry skin,including lips. In the am your face,lips etc are so hydrated,and after you wash it,it’s so smooth. 👌🏽 sometimes less is more, and I definitely learned this with these ointments 👌🏽

Girl, I've been on tretinoin for 7 months now and let's just say my skin was going through it lol. I find that less is more. I use Vanicream or Cerave as moisturizer.. I also have the first aid beauty but since I've been on Tretinoin, I feel the the other 2 have been better for my skin. For lips, I use laneige but I reach for my aquaphor more often. Btw I got that same round brush from ulta! It's pretty good.

I had the exact same issue. No matter what I did nothing has helped the dry skin and dry corners of my mouth. At the time I also had an issue with my ears closing up after work ( I‘m a flight attendant) and it would not open up so I had to take some Kortison pills for a week. Immediately when I took them for my ears the dry skin around my mouth went away although the pills were not intended for the dry skin but it helped😁🤷🏽‍♀️ Also my doc said it can mean you‘re lacking iron or vitamins.
