I have supported you and watched every single one of your videos since your first PMDG 737 tutorials 4 years ago. You have drastically changed the flightsim community. You do things with FSX/P3D that no one else does. Your Fully Loaded/First Impressions are amazingly detailed and informative. Your VLOGS and Froogle Hangars are fun and enjoyable. You keep doing what you are doing. We all understand. Thank you for making these videos for us.

Don't ever apologize for taking time for your personal life. This is just a game for all of us. Yeah you are a supreme source of info, and I have learned a tonne from you; but your personal life takes precedence. I can't say I haven't taken the luxury (or personal choice) of not using my sim for a week or so at a time, people get tired. That being said; I have always looked forward to your news/videos. Thanks for all you have done for the sim world. Best of luck with your startup!

Hey Froogle Im an instructor at an part 147 school. We have an A320 fixed training simulator. I introduce the students to the airbus using FSX and a A320 add on. until recently it was very frustrating using the onboard camera system. Thanks to your first video on chase plane I downloaded it last week. And now I have complete control over the cockpit panels. Even though we dont do much flying it makes demonstrating task like engine run and taxi much easier to present to a large class. Still trying to perfect it but I love it. Keep up the good work!!!

I had issues with have a massive amounts of cameras trying. FSRecorder was great until I need a lot, then FSX began crashing constantly. I ALMOST went ezdok v2 until I watched your video. Not even 4 minutes into your video, I went and bought Chase Plane and it has been an absolute pleasure! thank you soo much for this video!! =)

Hi Froogle, glad to see more content coming this year. You always make great video content and I sit waiting in eagre anticipation for your news video every Sunday evening here in the UK. Keep up the great work you do. I have never used a camera tool in fsx, unless you count TrackIR which I find indispensable, even the occasions it doesn't start up when fsx does I'am totally lost with out it. It is just so intuitive to turn your head and the view moves with you. I liked your comments about great competition in the flight sim community, I might take a look at Chaseplane as I did like some of the things you can do with it. I have started supporting developers who are really interested in being the best and being open about their products, finished or not. I bought the Tfdi B717 the other day, I know it has issues but those guys seem to want to do it right, and deserve support. Thanks again Froogle, see you soon.

Thanks for the video froogs.....and for your contribution to the flightsim community.....it's much appreciated! Looking forward to all of your content in 2017 and beyond!

No complaints here about your content levels; you have to balance life, especially to get good family time. Hearing that makes me like you even more. This was a great video. I'm sold on chase plane now for sure. Saves me the uncertainty of which to get. I bought Chaseplane and liked it right away, but was going to wait a bit to fully convert from EzDok v1. So I upgraded to EzDok v2 and was shocked to learn that none of my camera settings could be imported from v1. Well, Chaseplane let me import EzDok cameras... so I've ditched EzDok and fully converted to Chaseplane. To anyone holding back because Chaseplane is in alpha, I would say that FSFX is being a bit hard on themselves by calling it alpha... it's really much more stable than it sounds. I have fewer issues using Chaseplane than I did with EzDok. Chaseplane is a great product.

Hello Froogle, I was a EZDOK fan but have now switched to Chaseplane so easy to set up especially new camera's on the fly. Click the middle mouse button and it brings up options, I choose open chaseplane the create new cameras from there. I too had that weird rolling in the A2A connie with track IR. Great video keep up they great work when your able.Ive learned a lot from your videos

After watching and learning so much of your amazing videos and also focusing on Ezdok, it seems you knew and felt so comfortable with this great tool, and you inspired me to learn and buy this amazing camera tool. After watching this review of an alternative beta tool that is still very new, I'm disappointed you permenantly switched. having said that, it is a personal decision and to get the best simulation and flight modeling experience you should go with what you see best and what works for you best. both camera tools are great, and me personally, I'm sticking with Ezdok as I hadn't experienced that particular modeling effect you described just yet. but appreciate you sharing that with us. please make more reviews and tutorials with this new tool, as I'm eager to learn and know more. many thanks

hello all, great vlog, Froogle. I have a general question on the use of cameras together with TrackIR. The question is, "why?". I mean, if you decided you are going to use TrackIR to look around in your cockpit and out of the windows in the most natural way (short of VR, I guess), why bothering setting up VC cameras? I see Froogle doing it all the times: a camera for looking down at the instruments, another one to look up, to look right, etc... but every single of these movements could be obtained in a much more realistic way by moving your head with TrackIR.... So? What am I missing here? Note that I completely understand EzDok or ChasePlane for visuals outside the aircrafts, but for the cockpit I believe that TrackIR should cover everything... I look forward to reading your comments, and to learn something new! Cheers

Like yourself, I was a lifelong EZDok user. I was quite excited when version 2.0 was announced with a very reasonable upgrade price. I grabbed it up but found, like yourself, that it was somewhat lacking. My biggest problem with it was that I could not import my numerous version 1.18 profiles. I contacted the developer with the following comments: "The problem comes in when I try to import my camera sets (using the Import function in the File menu of the Studio interface) made in the previous version. It appears that the old .ecs files are not used by v2.0. There is another "Convert Camera Set" selection in the File menu of the Studio. I tried this but Studio appeared to freeze and any movement of the mouse would erase portions of the Studio window. I wouldn't let me browse for and convert my old camera files. (Note: I may not be using the correct verbage for the File menu items, I'm doing this from memory). At this point, I'm not willing to re-create all my camera sets in v2.0. It would seem to me that a new version of EZDok should be able to: 1. Import the General settings of the previous version, i.e. the keyboard assignments to the functions of EZDok. 2. The sensitivity settings of the previous version, to the extent that they exist in the new version. Any new features in the new version would have default settings. 3. The new version must, must, must be able to import the camera sets of the previus version. Maybe v 2.0 does and I've found a bug that keeps it from working for me. 4. The new version's program installer should have the ability to recover the needed previous version settings, then would uninstall the old version before installing the new version. Many programs do this. When the new program is asked to Import and previous version's camera set, it should automatically convert is to the new version. The software designer of EZDok have earned my respect and admiration. I've been using his product (upgraded to v1.18) for years without issue and, luckily, using "System Restore" in Windows 7, I was able to return to using my old version when I discovered the new version to be unusable (for me) for the reasons listed above. I applaude Marniftarr's dedication in trying to bring us an exciting new version of this software. I hope that a future update of this software that fixes the problems I've noted will allow me to jump to the new version. The $12.50 I've paid to upgrade is extremely reasonable so that I'm willing to wait a bit to see if these problems are addressed." Lantz" This was the developers reponse: Marniftarr wrote: "Lantz You are very exacting to addition which works with overdocumentation. Don't forget that 90% of functions which are done by EZ aren't documented and weren't developed by Microsoft. This addition - the most difficult thing and most difficult it to adapt it to the simulator. Don't demand simple things from difficult. Some functions about which you speak or aren't possible or will demand extra time. Any change in the program causes the mass of mistakes in users. Each change demands long beta testing. I will remind that this add-on is written to overprotocol and overdocumentation. It not the standard application for Windows, it works not standardly. We considered many options. But have stopped on it. As is." I responded with this: "I'm hoping the animosity I detect in your reply to my suggestions is due more to your unfamiliarity to the English language than to your actual intent. Although I'm not sure I understand everything in your response, I do believe I understand you don't intend to improve on the issues I raised. I'm sure that developing the program is very difficult and frustrating, as is dealing with customers such as myself who raise issues on your softwares functionality. My only intent was to suggest improvements. You, of course, have the option whether to consider them or not. Your customers have the option to use your product "as is" or consider offerings from you competitors, I.E. "Chaseplane" by FSFX Packages. Your success or failure in the market depends on the decisions you make. " He responded with this: Marniftarr January-03-2017 at 9:01pm Quote Reply "Product As Is and optimised for background. No interface , Nothing superfluous on the screen to make long flights. Please do not talk about clones of EZ here. Such posts i will delete. I have a team of advanced beta testers (In Russian) and they will tell me as where to make. !" At this point, I gave up the conversation, especially when my antivirus program found what it thought to be a Trojan in the EXDok 2.0 program. I immeadiately removed any vestages of EZDok and downloaded ChasePlane. I haven't regretted it.

xcamera FTW! :) I do like the look of the Chaseplane interface though and if I end up needing a camera-addon for Dovetail's new FS if it ever comes out, Chaseplane VII will be on my list.... Pete, a Big problem with ChasePlane is that if their servers are off line or your internet stops for some reason, CP stops, and you are not flying that day. This is taking piracy protection too far. While EZDoc maybe a bit(lot) clunky, but you can use it anywhere and any time.

I am pretty sure that the features itself are OK (except the ones not connected to cameras) but the presentation (UI) is not good at all and ruined the user experience. I am not happy that for such a function in sim we have to pay nearly $40 (+ money for EZDoc I ve already pay :-)) but on the other hand, developers of chase plane do the job well, so they deserve to get the money :)

My first view addon ever is Chaseplane, and so far, i love it! Its absolutly great how simple it is to create views, change the speed of transaction, turbolence, winds, etc, compared to what i have heard about EZDoc. Now I need some views for the FSLabs and im good to go :) Great video froogle!

Froogle, does a tool like Chaseplane make TrackIR irrelevant? How would you use both programs? Finally, if I need both, which program should I buy first - Chaseplane or TrackIR?

Frank Marafiote Track IR and both Chase Plane or EZdok v1 or V2 work in conjunction with each other. THe track IR takes over looking around and moving in and out. It has its issues and I find that I only use track IR during takeoff and landing when I am least likely to use the mouse on a click spot or flying a helicopter. I find that my head moves slightly which makes it hard for him to hit my click spot. What track IR will not do is switch to different views such as outside the AC or world shots. All it does is allow to look "around" and "in and out" hands free. TIR is a must if you fly a lot of helicopters since with a helicopter it is difficult to take your hands off the throttle or stick. My opinion is that if you could only afford one or the other you MUST go with the camera tool first. If you find the extra money later then go get Track IR and use them together.

I agree with Jason the camera tools are much cheaper than track IR. Chaseplane is my choice now much easier to set up than ezdok. Track IR is great but only when you can afford it.

I have to say I feel much more morally comfortable supporting and sticking with ezdok and an individual developer. I imagine he was not happy with the release of chase plane. That said though all I need is a camera that provides freedom of movement in my sim. Ezdok version 1 does exactly that so I see no need to buy yet another piece of software in this already pricy hobby. That said, again, flight sim is much cheaper than learning to fly in the UK.
