He has plenty of toys but his brain doesn’t work like a typical kid. He isn’t interested in toy interaction. Instead, he prefers physical stimulation, like the vibrations from the go kart, or being held, or touched or bounced. Toys don’t really speak to him. Touch and movement do! 💕

Obviously I'm not a doctor but my feelings are that as he grows and his brain grows, despite cdls and his brain disease, Sebs is going to reach milestones we cannot imagine! Nearly 6 and how different he is, how he's advancing, responding, listening and communicating! I knew it, I always knew in my heart he'd show us who he is in his own time. He is amazing 💙

As an eary childhood educator, a mother, and an infant/early childhood developmental specialist, seeing the incredibly involved, invested and intensely nurturing parents like Sebastian's, as well as his grandparents, and his extended loving, encouraging family that that Sebasastian has been blessed with! Omigosh this little man makes me so bloomin' happy. I know its not all smiles all the time but just the fact Sebastians life is so wholesomely full just because he's got the greatest parents in the world, he lives a pretty great life! Gio and I both have felt like that too! We never truly know what he’s hearing/ feeling/ or intentional ally responding to, but it sure does seem like more often then he not he has so many intentional responses and interactions lately! It’s such a gift to watch his brain work.

You know, the medical community has admitted that there is so much they don't know about this disorder, and it is entirely possible that not only does Sebastian understand, he may have a brilliant mind, but simpy less vocal communication. If so, I can't wait to see him be the catalyst for re-writing the medical journals of this mysterious, and amazing condition. #TeamSebastian #NotAllHeroesWearCapes

You can really see that Sebastian in growing little by little. Yeah!!! So sending your first child to school. I bawled so much the first day my son got on the school bus. Notwithstanding, i had a little one to care for too. But our best friends wife, not joking, ran after her daughter's bus for about 10 long blocks in the street screaming her daughter's name. We joke about it now that my sons 40 and her daughter is 31. My heart goes out to you, as having Sebastian home and caring for him the way you have will be tough. Make plans now to have a plan, at home, to do some real cleaning or reading, or inviting someone over to have coffee with. Just anything so you wont be sitting until he returns home. I just love that he adores you and Gio so much. TY for a wonderful vlog. ❤❤
