Beautifully captured shots! Not so sure about the X-T100 as a vlogging camera. I like the quality of the footage on your other camera more and this one also seems to have a lot of problems with face detection autofocus. Lok Cheung had the same problem when testing it in a recent video.

Andrew, great work with the new camera. I found the video a wee bit dark but crisp and clear. The stills look as good as many more expense (and heavier) cameras, but I expect you will be doing some pixel peeping to check on details, noise etc. Look forward to your thoughts when you get round to reflecting on the experience.

First of all, that's a beautiful place. Great pictures from the X-T100. I'm a beginner and purchased this camera to get started. Still learning, in fact, learned something from this video. Thanks for sharing. One question, did you do much post production to the images in this video? That's my next step, is to learn how to use an editor of some sort. Right now, all my shots all out of the camera with no editing. Thanks again.
@Andrew_marr5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Dax, I think the X-T100 is a fantastic camera to start your photography adventure. It provides all the controls you need and produces beautiful images. I shoot all my images in RAW so I edit each image that I share. Editing is an important part of the creative process, so my advice would be to jump into post-processing as soon as you can. Thanks for your comment! 😊

Some great b-roll footage there ... a couple of questions .... the focus does indeed seem to be a tad slow or missing .. the last section it seemed a little soft .... also what are you feelings in low light? Did you try any of the higher FPS for slow mo ? Certainly an interesting addition .. will be interested to hear your thoughts in the cold light of day ...

Hi Andrew. Great compositions and images as always. They are really nice. You might see if you can reduce or do something about the white haloing that are present i some images. This can occur when images are for example a bit over sharpened or pushed a bit to far. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Sweden.
@Andrew_marr6 жыл бұрын
That’s disappointing to hear, I hadn’t noticed any haloing, I certainly try and avoid pushing my images too far and barely do any sharpening. Which images do you see this effect?
@AndreasLarzon6 жыл бұрын
Andrew Marr Oh no need to be disappointed. I like your images alot. It happens to us all. It usually appers where u have high contrast edges such as a sky and mountain ridges. I dosent have to be sharpening that is the problem it can happen during the normal post prossesing. There are ways to mitigate the problem in photoshop. Ill have a look again and give you some examples. It can hovever ne that its only vissable on youtube because of the compression of tje images and not when you look at your original edits. At 10:47 you show a seascape image. In the top right where you have the sky and rocks you can see along the edge a white "halo" line. At 13:25 you have same effect along the rock/sky edge. Not on the horizon line. Maybe a little more in the brighter part of the rock. In the image following that it seems less vissable. Hope it helps and as I said maybe its only something I see when watching the image on youtube. Let me know if you can see it to. Actually because tjis is something that happens often in high contrast sceens like tjis. It would be cool to se if it will be different after editing when shoting the sceene in one shot, bracketed or with grad filters. Cheers from Sweden

Great video, thank you so much! I wanted to ask, since the video for Fuji xt100 lags a bit, are there any settings within the camera itself that will rectify this?

Certainly the images were impressive Andrew and I love the coastline when the waves are active like those in your vlog. In terms of a choice of purchase of a XT-2 and a XT-100 as a second camera is there much difference between the two?
@AbdonPhirathon6 жыл бұрын
scotty4418 Not sure if you've already bought the X-T100, but it's not up to the level of the X-T2. That being said, it's still a great Fuji camera and its colors are still good, despite the fact that it doesn't have an X-Trans sensor. It's a little slower than I'd like, but I'm not shooting any type of action or sports, so it's plenty good for me. To be honest, I find the images to look crisper than those taken with X-Trans sensor cameras, but the drawback is that it does have more color noise at high ISOs, which is an advantage of X-Trans since it remains relatively clean throughout.
