Oh my goodness, I love the beaded dog portraits, I'd love to get one of two labradoodles to match my babies. I'm heading to my LYS this afternoon to pick up a yarn order as I'm going to knit some hats for the 3 guys in my team at work for next Christmas, I'm getting in early as I know what I'm like if I leave it till later next year it won't happen hehehe. Seeing your baking reminded me of when my mum used to bake her famous mushroom tarts, they were like yours made out of champagne pastry, a bit of strawberry or plum jam in the middle with mock cream on top and a sprinkle of nutmeg on top, she would at little pastry stems so they looked like upside down mushrooms 🙂

This was so lovely .How do you carry the second colour wool over for the main colour of your knitting so you don't get large loops at the back ? An older cousin told me when baking jam ,mincemeat or similar tarts(uncovered or covered) ,put a drop, of as co!d as you can get, water on top of the filling.This helps reduce the temperature of the filling when baking and stops it bubbling over.You can also add more filling by using this tip.
