I love that Meijer's got a highlight in your Vlogmas. When my husband moved to the US (Illinois) from Australia and we started dating I introduced him to all the Midwest's best offerings. His favorite - Meijer's. We haven't lived near one in over 25 years, but when we travel back, it's always on our "must visit" list 🤣

I grew up with Meijer in the summers when we visited Grandma in Michigan. I was so excited when they came to Illinois and then Wisconsin. I shop there and Costco. Lol

I love Meijer! It’s my go to shopping for everything, I think part is it because I grew up shopping there. It’s so fun watching you open your mini advents. My Barbie’s would have loved that as well.

That’s why I read Assassin’s Blade first-the thought of going backwards right when the story was getting good was a no-go for me. I did do the tandem read which was actually a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I had read AB first. At this point I just might never read it. I messed up

Is it weird I think I know the Culver’s and Meijer that you were at it’s been 7 years since I’ve been in IL but I shopped at Meijer almost every day.

So if you watched the show, Cahir is the name of the Nilfgaardian soldier in the first season who tries to kidnap Ciri. The one with the Bird wings on his helmet. He turns out to be a good guy in the books, so I wasnt gonna do him dirty 😂

If i'm reading a physical book, i'll put a pillow on my lap to bring it closer to me and to hold it for me, holding them hurts my wrists too esp if they're chonky books. But i *love* my kindle (I have a paperwhite because i like to read outside too and there's no glare and i can still see the screen in the sun)

The kindle is SUCH a game changer! Also, some books are printed on paper my sensory sensibilities do not love

@@bumblebeeacresfarm I love my kindle soo much and with as much as i read, i still have to charge it at least once a week LOL. And yea, agree about some of the paper choices. Also LOVE that i can make the font bigger when my eyes get tired haha

The joint pain you have in your wrist and thumb could be a form of Rheumatoid Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel. I say this because I have RA and Osteoarthritis. I also had carpal tunnel surgery as well. You’re right to be concerned. I am now catching up with some vlogmas since I didn’t have time to watch in December. I love your vlogs, so warm and cozy feeling. ❤😊

Thank you for letting me know! I have had X-rays and the doctors always say the bones look "fine". I have to keep pursuing specialists. My primary care left his practice in December, so I'm currently between doctors. I am so sorry you have a similar struggle with pain.

🎄Still trying to start the Innsbruck Scarf (again). If I want to make the scarf less wide, what is the number of stitches in each section, please? Can I subtract a couple of sections? BTW, just saw a clever video clip with easy long tail cast on, using both ends of the yarn. A life-changer for me! I kept having yards of yarn left on my tail, every time. 🫣🧶 (A learning Knitter) Thank you! I’m really enjoying my very first yarn advent. 🎄
@StitchingShannon Жыл бұрын
You could try dropping a repeat section which would be 12 stitches.
