I lived in Barnstaple when I was child in the late 80’s, early 90’s and have very fond memories of the town. Especially the old independent department store that use to be in the town. I remember getting Sylvanian families animals with some birthday money. I’ve loved watching your vlogmas so far and makes me want to go back and visit north Devon again 😊

My family and I actually stayed in Goodleigh for our summer holiday in July this year. I loved Barnstaple. It’s great watching when you go out and about as it brings back good memories x

I was eyeing that red clock myself, too bad I live in California. I love the shopping area you went to. The antique store was amazing. Who am I kidding, I loved all the stores you passed by and went into. I think I would go to England for the shopping alone. Products here don't have much character. Enjoyed your Vlogmas, yet again. Barnstable looks like a great place - big enough but not too big with interesting shops and architecture. It looks like you are making friends already and this time next year I am sure you will be in the thick of it. Hopefully Stephen will be able to give up his London teaching in the not too distant future too and you can really settle down xxx
