So sweet to see ur boys skating. I ice skated a lot as a youth in Michigan. We skated on froze rivers as well as in ice skating rinks. Such fun memories. i am a senior citizen now so no more skating for me. lol I do love my crafting of collecting yarn, knitting, crocheting, latch hook projects, quilting, applique, cross-stitch & embroidery. I am never bored.

Skating was a big part of my childhood too. There was a rink just 100m from our home, if there had been about if snow and the roads were all packed down with it, we put skates on at home and skated to the rink. 😅 thanks for tuning in! ❤️

Lovely! So much snow . That was a surprise for me. I love snow ... we have very little if any here in the south of England. More footage of that please 😊. I love your santa socks. I want to make them . X

The snow came pretty early this year, but we usually have a good 4-5 months worth of it. We’ll be sick of it by the end of February. 😅 so there will definitely be more of that. ❄️

Happy first vlogmas Anniina! A beautiful first episode and I look forward to catching up on the rest of your month so far! The footage of the skating took me back to 2013 when we were in Finland, skating outside in the evening with a beautiful sunset, similar to your sunrise! Such a great memory! Thank you for sharing dear friend!

Well done Annina for a first Vlogmas! Your new Christmas sock pattern is so nice! I am also knitting a pair of slippers, the Rauma pattern by Anna Heino. Wishing we had a little Christmas snow like you do, but it doesn’t snow so much here in Connecticut US like it did when I was a child! Climate change I guess 😢. I look forward to more of your Vlogmas videos!

This was such a lovely vlogmas! I found you randomly on KZbin earlier and am excited to binge watch you first episodes of vlogmas and then go back and watch all your podcasts from the beginning. You are so calming to watch and I very much enjoyed knitting with you! Your boys were adorable skating ⛸️ I have four boys of my own and they enjoy when we take them down to the pond by our home to go skating. I am excited to have finished my husband’s wool vest while watching. He works on a boat dragging for scallops on the east coast of Maine. It’s a bit chilly here as we’ve already been blanketed in snow and he requested a wool vest to wear as a layering piece this season.

Hi and welcome! ☺️❤️ thank you for your sweet words! how old are your boys? 😊 Oh and it must be pretty chilly on the boat! Thank goodness for wool. 🙏🏻

My boys are 14, 8, 6, and 2. They keep us busy as I’m sure yours do for you ☺️ It is soooo cold on the water right now 🥶 My husband is so grateful for wool this time of year!

Loved your first vlogmas . I’ve just found you so will be catching up over the next couple of days. Love seeing the snow, reminded my of when I was younger and going to Finland in the winter (I’m in the uk) My mum was Finnish & we spent a lot of the school holidays in Finland, both in the summer & winter. Loved the ‘proper’ snow you get there ❄️

I really enjoyed watching your first Vlogmas ever! You did very well!! Looking forward to the next vlogmasses to come. My plan is to knit scrappy socks during december, just a relaxing knit, knitting small stranded patterns in stripes, so that will be perfect for your KAL! I live in The Netherlands, and I used to do ice skating every winter when I was a kid, but the past years we haven't had cold winters, so no ice skating (at least not outdoors on naturally frozen water).
@annijuutiknits Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I’m happy to hear you liked it. ☺️ we don’t really skate in natural waters either, they usually are just sand fields that are frozen for skating. There’s usually so much snow that skating over natural waters is not really possible. ☺️

Love the idea of a scrappy advent sock! If you do it next year I'm in. I'm already doing a pair of advent socks, my first advent project, and I'm enjoying it, but I have a lot of sock yarn scraps. I also want to make those slippers, but there are several gift socks on my needles right now and plans for sweaters. So much knitting to do!

Thanks for a lovely Vlogmas episode! It's great to see what this time of year looks like in Finland. We don't have any snow where I live but it is quite cold now. Currently I'm knitting on a Newborn Vertebrae cardigan - I'm using larger needles so it won't be so small but it still is adorably tiny!

Hello from Montana, US. We don't have as much snow as you, so I'm a bit jealous. :D I'm sure we'll catch up. I am working on the advent socks by Kay Jones, from the Bakery Bears. I'm also working on Winter Wonderland Hat by Mary Pranica. I loved taking my kids skating when they were little and my daughter goes skating every year with friends on her December birthday. This week, she is celebrating her 18th birthday in Belgium and going to go skating in Brussels. Merry Christmas!

What a great start to vlogmas. ❤ It was a really nice surprise that you‘re doing vlogmas this year. I really enjoyed the episode while knitting on my 24-stripe-advent socks. I would love to join the scrappy advent sock kal - but I doubt there are any needles left in my house. 😅

I started my scrappy socks on December 30th, I think. They are so addicting. I am not keeping it to 1 stripe a day and I am not knitting the same socks. But I love them already. Oh and your Christmas socks are awesome! I already saw them in the Barcelona knits vlog, but I did not tell you then.
