Lynanne, you don't have to cake that yarn. Do you have a shoe box? Poke a hole at each end of the shoe box close to the top. Run a long straight knitting needle through your cone and put the ends of the needle through the holes in the shoebox. This will suspend the cone and allow it to turn freely. Or use a milk crate with holes in the sides to suspend the knitting needle. Get creative! Nancy
