I made a blanket like that. I used a tutorial from Bag-O-Day called the Kaleidoscope Blanket. I used Red Heart in Retro Stripes and Black.

Always enjoy your vlogmas. They are enjoyable and inspiring. I’m working on a scrap granny square, so I think I’ll do that in place of your blanket. I tried to make a small grinch and I’m not sure it will be on my Christmas tree. Gonna work on it tomorrow and see if I can shape his face better. Ohm well…..scrap happens.

Vlogmas sounds fun! I chuckled when you showed the blanket pattern you're going to be crocheting as it's on my list to do next for a scrap blanket!! Great minds! My birthday is December 1st, so I have a jigsaw Advent calendar to do each day... the same one as you did last year that I was given for last Christmas! I'll also crochet that blanket you're doing & I'll watch Judy on Witch Peace Craft as she's going to be pulling out colours each day, so I'll match her colour with my scrap for the blanket! Judy is also going to have little kindness sayings that I will try to match with crocheting something very quick & small to match the idea like a bookmark or flower or keychain or fiddle toy or cat toy or something. I'll see how I go with that part. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

I love the trivia about where Christmas songs originally started piece that you're adding to vlogmas this year.
