I'm running behind watching Vlogmases. I watch them until I get through them because it inspires me to work on different projects. I have not made an Anthropolgy throw, but know people who have and they said it was a fun knit. I agree that the week between Christmas and New Year's is wonderful - restful, interesting. I did a lot of reading, watched movies, knit, and spent time with my grandkids. They are getting to a fun age where they come over and just do crafting, baking, puzzles, and movies. It's been a laugh filled holiday. Going back to work has been exhausting.

I am the absolute opposite of you about Christmas decorations. It's after Christmas day that I start relaxing and enjoying the decorations, so I generally keep them up until January 10. Those chocolate MS cookies are a favorite here as well. I add a teaspoon of instant coffee crystals to the dough. Merry Christmas, Sandy. Thanks for the delightful Vlogmas videos.

I have done an anthology throw. It was dry enjoyable plan knitting with some interest rows. I love the way the colors fade together. I will make it again. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you Sandy. Thank you for taking the time to do Vlogmas

Boxing week is my favorite and is when I enjoy the decorations the most, so it all stays until Epiphany, for the twelve days of xmas 🎄 Hope you are enjoying your Christmas with your family and thank you for another great Vlogmas.

I was inspired by the shortbread cookies so hunted for a gluten free version and made them this morning. They turned out great and are different from any other cookie we normally make. Thank you for the time you put into vlogmas.

Thank you for introducing me to CamiJo. Her yarns are beautiful and I love the yarn she pairs with the paintings. Merry Christmas to you. You brought me joy and calm this month. I do so much for others, Christmas cards, Christmas baking, shopping for gifts, wrapping the gifts, cleaning the house, entertaining friends. Your vlgmas is just for me. Enjoy your family and time to yourself.

Happy holidays Sandy🍒 to you and your family. Hey, I have a suggestion for you on the Martha Stewart cookies book that has some pages that are falling out. I just recently took one of my Quilting bucks over to Staples and they put a spiral binding on that book for me so it’s easier for it to stay open as I work the pattern that you might be able to do something like that. We also have several different places that will do that spiral bind. Hope that helps.

Sandy I’m so glad you are having an easy time of it this season! I think you may have been sick last year and it blew out the whole shebang for you. I have to admit, I’ll be a little sad not to have you by my knitting side once Vmas ends. I would say hold off on the Anthology shawl. It will be there for you. Do you have a Christmas Eve cast on? Often what I do when i have my January annual airing of the stash, I will use those big, 2 gallon zip top bags and create a queue/kit situation by pairing up yarns with patterns and then (without needles) zip them up and stash them in my close to pull out whenever. I even did my own sock club by pairing up patterns with sock yarn and pulled one per month. It’s so fun to plan and I can’t wait to use next week to set up my new planners and dream about 2024! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I have plans to do something like that in January so I love your tips. I am Not going planning on a Christmas even cast on, it’s just such a busy night with family. I will bring an easy, comfort knit to my sisters house. Merry Christmas to you, too!

Hi Sandy,I’m really enjoying your vlogmas:) Your advent yarns are beautiful. I was wondering if you could talk about how you use them all in one of your videos. Are they all for socks? I’m a crocheter…I could see granny squares but I’d love to hear your creative thoughts. Thanks!

Hi, Sandy. I say go for it with the Anthology Throw. I'm thinking of doing the same, as I have about all the fingering weight socks I now need. Looks like a nice, relaxing knit to pick up every now and then (and not as sore on the hands as fingering weight socks can be sometimes)

Definitely give the Anthology Throw a try! It's fun and really relaxing. I'm making one now and already planning another. Perfect for any Advents because you can just knit each mini until it's done, so no waste!

I’m loving Camijo’s Vlogmas this year. She has me thinking about the Anthology Throw as well. I’ve never made a throw or blanket before. My two granddaughters, my daughter and I spent most of the day making ravioli for our Christmas dinner. Must say it takes awhile, but we had such a good time. My youngest granddaughter and I are going to make cinnamon rolls Sunday afternoon for our Christmas breakfast. I’m thinking of getting Cake and Loaf this year. Christine has been showing it and it looks interesting. So enjoying your Vlogmas. Thanks for sharing.

Almost everything you say resonates - we are also keeping things simple this Christmas, minimal gifts, and I am also rearing to just clean up and put away the decor in time for the New Year. I can hardly wait to see your 2024 dream list.

Thank you for another lovely, gentle Vlogmas video Sandy. For the first year in my adult life I haven’t done any Christmas baking, my plans went out the window when my husband and I both tested positive for Covid! I’ll have to do lots of New Year baking instead, once our sense of taste and smell return!! 😂 But being poorly has it’s benefits, lots of knitting time by the log burner ❤ With warm wishes for a lovely festive time to you and your family xx from Scotland 🏴
