My Husband and I pick a new ornament each year also. Typically they are things that tell a story about us as individuals, as a couple, something that stuck our for the year etc... In Niagara on the Lake there is a Christmas store and its open ALL year round so in February some of my close girlfriends and I went away for a weekend and we took a stroll down there one day (if you haven't been its beautiful). ANYWAYS we went into the Christmas shop and i mean its not the cheapest... HOWEVER it was a little out of season so they had some deals and I ended up picking up an ornament that was like sponge material and it was a 2 scoop ice cream cone (I love ice cream) and I got a Kangaroo to represent the time I spent in Australia. I also got this year a smores ornament because every Canada Day weekend my cousins and our families go camping, we have been to the same sight every year for the last 8 or so years. I also ended up getting a F*CK 2020 ornament this year (look up F8CK flakes) lol. SO yeah we love picking them out. THIS year while decorating the tree my husband pulled out of our bin like 4 or 5 donut ornaments and was like when did you get these. I was like oohhhh I don't know lol he's like this tree is starting to look like a "Christmas treat" not a "Christmas tree" lol I have A LOT of dessert type ornaments LOL! But i mean I think the organized trees are nice but i love the ones with home made ornaments from children and ornaments that just tell a story. The year we got engaged someone purchased a wood one for us that says our first Christmas engaged, and then we got a married one SUPER awesome. This year I put a babies first Christmas as our first child was born in sept!!! :) Christina Hamilton, Ontario Canada
