Your absolutely right but at the same time you get tired of letting the landlord get away with neglecting his property. I clean all the time

I have read all the comments and I totally understand where you are coming from. Rent should not be that high without them putting in work. I know you don’t want to fix it up but try a little to give yourself some peace since you have to be there so long. Many people do not like to move out of state but maybe consider researching moving to another city or state with better subsidies accommodations. That has worked for many people if you can afford to move.

Hey thank you for the motivation I am looking to move out of Philadelphia soon and Just move out of hood neighborhoods yess I’m try my self to get things done myself since the landlord doesn’t want to fix anything…..

You have to pay 1300 for rent on section 8? That's ridiculous. Still, it's a lot better than the projects were in the 1970's. Everyone has mice in the winter time. I can't stand them. We have traps set everywhere and we live in a single home in the country. You are going to be okay... you and your family have a place to stay. You could be living in a shelter. You did good.

@Thank you for that I totally understand and greatful I thank God each and everyday. But what I don’t understand is that why some landlords like to neglect their properties that doesn’t sit right with me Not when I’m paying my money I use traps but the mice getting out of control and it’s making me and my kids sick…. But thank you for the uplifting response.

I don't know what state you live in , but renta must be really expensive if you're still paying $1300 in rent on a Section 8 apartment

Hey yess my rent is too high for this section 8 unit, The actual price for rent here is $1700 phA in Philly pay $490 and I pay 1300….so high for this unit

@simplyjess..subscribe4023 I know it's sometimes good to have the section 8 cause right now I live in a income based apartment, but if they only paying that little of it you may as well be paying the whole thing by yourself cause that's just ridiculous, I thought it's only supposed to be 30% of your income but it looks like your paying 80% of your income and if you're paying all that, they for sure need to do better.

I agree I thought I was supposed to be paying the $464 that PHA is paying I’m paying 80 percent and PHA is paying the 30 percent.The landlord neglect his property I’m very confused and unhappy….Dealing with this
