I would’ve complained to the theater management about your experience with the usher who disrupted you and John from enjoying the show. I would have asked another usher for the manager.

Sounds like you had kind of a rough day. I feel sorry for Cosmo, but glad if he's feeling better! Hopefully you will be able to watch a filmed performance of Back to the Future so you can catch whatever you missed. At the very least, I think more of these live musicals should have professional videographers film performances to preserve them for posterity. I'll be honest, while there are plenty of musicals I want to see, I'd much rather see a performance that isn't on Broadway or the West End. Those tickets are just too insanely expensive to justify it when you can see the exact same show for way less elsewhere.
