Thank you so much for reposting this day 17 vlog, Janet. I couldn't open the original post because it was marked private. Thank you also for sharing your daily life with us - you are a wonderful family and have so much love for one another it's inspiring. Good luck with your cat scan tomorrow.

We had sheep when I was young. We never ate them. We had them sheered each spring. It's good for the sheep. My mom sold the 🦙

When I learned what mulesing was I said I’d never ever use wool again. I too find it scratchy but figuring out if it was ethically sourced etc just isn’t something I want to deal with every time so I won’t purchase it again. If I had them as pets like the person you mentioned and I knew they were sheared without terrorizing them (I’ve seen some questionable videos on that) I’d be fine with it. ❤

I've seen videos of sheep so full of wool they can't even walk. What a shame to waste that wool for something.

I agree! Sheep need to be shorn and I think it's more cruel not to. Bees are going to make honey regardless so I also don't get the issue with consuming honey.

If you don’t profit from the animal and use the wool for yourself, I would think it’s ok to use the wool from your own sheep.
