Thank you for watching! Candy Cane Lane is a staple in Edmonton :)

That was enjoyable! Candy Cane Lane has really changed. It looks like many of the old bungalows have been replaced by two story infill houses. But there are just as many pick-ups parked on the street 🙄. Gramps likes to talk about when he was a boy, all the neighbourhood would marvel over the one house that had an electric light in the window for Christmas. One light bulb. That would have been circa 1943. He would probably anjoy a stroll down Candy Cane Lane. It's fun to see the regional differences. Here in Cape Breton everyone has (electric) candles in their windows. Often they are the only decorations. Very understated and serene. Fun fact: Alvin and I used to go to Mickey D's for Thanksgiving when we were students, so you're in good company.

I love that! We'll have to ask Gramps more about it next time we see him :) That's so interesting about Cap Breton!
