Though you need to make the pie holders, you do have black thread in your overlocker and a black Ressac, and black trousers…😂 I highly recommend an air thread overlocker, when finances allow. I smile every time I press the button and watch the looper threads zoom through. Happy sewing, Cara (even if it’s pie holders) xx

A world full of Caras; how marvellous would that be? You are precious to us. I recommend the Babylock Acclaim; it's marvellous, no threading or tension issues whatsoever. Not cheap, admittedly. Are your fingers crossed for Santa to bring you a new overlocker? You certainly deserve one.

My daughter also celebrates her birthday on Saturday. I remember talking at my mums funeral. It was made easier by having my family and friends around and the love they had for her. I still miss her even though it has been over ten years. Even though it is a difficult time the memories you have, I hope will ease the sadness. Take care.

Lovely Cara, how have I not heard that you have a twin??!! Your birthday is on Saturday! And you got more fabulous buttons! What a revealing day. So fun. By the way, I have the Babylock Celebrate serger. It's the entry level machine in their serger line but it is an absolute dream. You know how much I sew and I do like to change my thread colors a lot. The air threading system is a wonder and I still find it amazing that I can go from serging something like denim to a light weight viscose without having to touch any of my settings or my tension. I'm not familiar with the Juki serger, but my vote is for any of the Babylocks. Can you believe it's just a little over 3 months now until my visit to the UK. I'm really looking forward to a great adventure. Enjoy the party tomorrow and I know you will embrace your special day with your twin, friends and family despite the obvious space you mum recently left. Big Hug!

@@sosewmad I have 4 sisters and always wished for a brother! And a twin to boot, lucky you. Babylocks are an investment. Lol that's why I have the entry level and I totally got lucky with a sale as it was the floor model. Yes, it's been busy for me - which leaves no time for sewing. I have to be ok with not getting all my planned makes finished. I put too much pressure on myself. Hmmm, maybe that will be my goal for the new year - less expectations. 😉
