I envy you your relationship with your mother. My mom and I weren’t as close, both literally and figuratively, but she has been dead for over 20 years and at the holidays I miss her more. Sometimes I feel like an orphan! My dad died in 1987, Mom in 2002 and my only full sibling in 2014. Please give your mom a hug for me.

Oh my! Momma sure brought you good luck today. Super haul. I love the glass pedestal tray; you could even use it for a riser. I have a thing for lanterns, so my heart skipped a beat with the green antique one. I have always wanted a sofa table but have no place for one. Can't wait to see it painted. I watched early this morning but me and the hubby was going to get pedicures this morning, which is always a hoot. You had a awesome thrift hall. I love the sheep lamp and the green lantern. And I must, say after over 2 years of being retired with my husband at home, too..a man should never be at home all day long. I agree with the Mama 100 %. There has never been a truer statement. You can't get nothing done. I am praying your Dad to feel better soon. And it was good to see Delanna, also. If people have to steal dirt, they are in a world of hurt. Who would've thunk it? Crazy world. The booth looks amazing, Donna. It is just a addition of your home. Just so beautiful. I have a set of little girls dishes that my hubby gave me when we got married..it has Christmas trees and a bear on them. I thifted the basket, dish towel from HL and I put the dishes in like a picnic basket. It turned out so cute. I need to send you a pic also of the 1st hen and chicks I bought just because of you. What an amazing thrift hall. You get the best stuff. I love the brass candle holders. The clocks are amazing. I might need the Shannon one lol. The Waterford is a crystal clog and maybe worse the money after you get the table painted the owner of the shop that I have a small booth in says price it at your I don’t really wanna sell it price. You’ll be surprised when it sells. Have you watched any more old movies? I watched the Betty Davis movie today. You should look up Christmas Eve with Loretta Young. It was from 1986 but it’s a good one.

Donna, I loved the old lantern and the bag of brass candlesticks the most! I love how you style your items in your booth, so that people can visualize those items in their spaces. I feel like Deb when I’m shopping in a cramped space and I knock things over, usually with my big purse, it is so annoying. 😅 Sometimes, I even have to deal with spiders and cobwebs! 😢 I wish all booth owners would take a page from your playbook. Great scores Donna! The Waterford crystal clocks can go for $100 or more! There are several ways to remove paint from ironstone - acetone, rubbing alcohol, softening with olive oil & scraping, softening with heat gun and scraping - then you can display the little dishes whichever way you like 😊 Love the brass clock … does it work? Your booth looks great! Another amazing bag wall haul. Sure wish we had bag walls in our area. I have been known to mix a few child’s tea set plates in my butter pat stacks. I even have my old tea set plates stacked along side the rest. All the flowers have come off over time so they are all white now. Thanks for sharing your day.

Why, Why, Why??? Do you do this to me? Oh girl, you're so blessed! I'm loving this haul! The first piece, the McCoy bowl, was an awesome deal of the day. Btw, your booth, fantastic layout and design choices, spot on! I agree with Mama, who enjoys going into a booth where every turn you make, could be a disaster. Personally, I have done that...broken a piece; that I paid for because it was crowded and you could not turn around. Thankfully it was two dollars and not 200.. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! I should send a Lava soap bar for James. (A Christmas Story) to wash his mouth out. Definitely a great thrift haul!!!!! I believe my favorite item in your haul is the McCoy bowl. I am so partial to vintage bowls!!!!! I like vintage bowls because they make such wonderful decorative pieces for so many uses. Your booth looks absolutely wonderful. I’m so glad you have a lot more booth space now than you did before and I certainly hope that it continues to do well for you. I know how you feel about being tired. I haven’t been sleeping all that well lately with so much on my mind with all these plumbing breakdowns that we’ve had back to back only a week apart. The first problem was easy and simple to fix; but, with the most recent problem, I now have two big holes in the wall in one of my bathrooms and a partially demolished marble shower where we had to disassemble part of the shower to find and repair the water leaks in our master bath. The plumber told us that this wall needs to stay opened up for a good while to dry out really well before we reconstruct this bathroom. Until we decide what we’re going to do, I just went in there and cleaned up as well as I could and came out and shut the door behind me. I am so glad that this is a bathroom that we rarely use as a bathroom. I have been using this bathroom for a makeup room for several years and the linen closet for extra storage of backup toiletries and various things like that. The day before the plumber came back to work after he found the problem, I took everything out of the bathroom, so now all of the stuff that was in that bathroom is basically stacked against the wall in two other rooms. This has my whole house looking like a junk pile. It has been so discouraging right here at Christmas time when I love to decorate so much. I had to make the decision not to try to decorate anymore than I already had when the plumbing problems started. This year, I decided I put up three small trees in the living room instead of the one big tree so that I could display all of our favorite ornaments. I also put out several other items that I could get too easily and that’s going to be it for this year. It really breaks my heart that I haven’t been able to decorate the way I usually do. The house looks so bare for Christmastime, but I just don’t have the time now, or the energy to push forward to get any more done with all the other rearranging that now needs to be done to accommodate all of the stuff that was in the now demolished bathroom. I am absolutely sure that it will be several months before this room is back to a usable state, and there’s no way that I’m going to look at all of this stuff in total disarray until that time comes. This takes me back to 2016, the year that my dad passed away two weeks before Christmas. We didn’t get any Christmas decorations out that year except the main Christmas tree. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought all new decorations for the tree that we used only one year. We had just a Christmas tree that year and nothing else, so it’s not like I haven’t done it before. I’m going to take advantage of this unexpected opportunity to sort through all of the items that came out of this bathroom, to hopefully donate a lot of items that I am sure I’m probably never going to use again. I am such a pack rat. I’m not talking about tiny bathroom, I am talking about an above average size room. The linen closet is huge, and the sink counter is 5 feet long and full of storage cabinets and drawers; plus, I have five rollabout carts, each with six drawers full of all kinds of makeup and cosmetic items lined up against one wall. All of that, I have to find a place for that looks a lot better than where it currently is. I really don’t have any idea what I’m going to do with it, so I’m hoping that a lot of it can be donated or either thrown away because I’ve had some of the products for so long that they are very likely not good anymore. All of my fragrances were in the linen closet where they could be in a cool and dark place all of the time and right now they are in three dish pans in my craft room on the floor. I have no earthly idea what I’m going to do with them. I may just decide to donate some of them too. I have been collecting for so many years and received many of them as gifts. I have never been a one fragrance/signature fragrance type person; I have my favorites, but some of them not so much, so I will probably just donate a lot of them. I’m not complaining, I’m just thinking out loud, LOL!!!!! I absolutely know, that things could’ve been a lot worse, and I really shouldn’t be saying anything at all, so I will sign off now and get up and get busy,LOL!!!!!

Hello my sweet friend! Girl we still got to finish up with Santa.. tomorrow or the weekend we'll get it done!😳 Time has been flying lately.. until now, it'll drag until the 21st because i need it to hurry!😄 Loll Girl you sound like my echo.. I'm tired, I'm just tired..I say that all the time!😄 But I can't help it, i stay tired! The little ones wear me out, especially when the 3yr old battles her insomnia & I'm lucky to get an hour or two of sleep😒 She had a bad night last night, she has a bad night at least every other week, sometimes more often & there's been times she went thru 2 or more nights in a row. So far she's only had one incident where she had 2 bad nights back to back since I've had her with me. Girl they still haven't came & worked on the washer! So guess what I get to do tomorrow😭 Thank God my husband starts his Christmas vaycay tomorrow 🙌🏻 He's going with me to help lift i carry everything, and we may go ahead & pick up the last of Santa while we're out. We planned to go Sunday afternoon, after church but i think Its going to be madness Saturday & Sunday! Oh my word.. my husband will do the same thing! Makes me batty!🦇😄 Donna thats so true.. nothing beats a mama's cooking! Except A grandma!🥹 I sure miss hanging out with my mama! Well hello to the mama!! I love seeing her, she's so funny & you 2 together can just make my day a whole lot brighter!😊 I love all 3 peppers, but the red ones are my fav, so sweet & yummy!😋 My husband don't eat any kind of bell pepper. I had always put them in my spaghetti sauce, but i had to quit. Oh the new picture looks so gorgeous there!! Lord Jesus have mercy.. what in the world??😮 Stealing dirt.. but why?? Dirt is pretty much anywhere & simple to get, why would you steal it knowing what's going to happen if you get caught! When you think you've seen it all..😂😂 And hello to Miss Delana! The mama is right your booth is beautiful Donna! I'm ready to "have" am amazing thrift haul😁 Down here its real common for people to sit things out by the curb & its free to whoever gets it. I picked up some really good things! Nice McCoy piece! That price is unreal!!😮OOOMMGG😮 stop it!! That clock is stunning!!! And at the Good Will?! Lordt.. They must have been in the Christmas spirit when they were pricing.. literally been "IN" the spirits!!🍸 Loll😄 That's awesome tho girl! I would have ran for that clock!🏃‍♀️Love the old lantern! I have one just like it! I have the green one, a red one & and black one. Then I have one we found almost buried, it was under leaves & boards & other junk, under a shed at the house in TN. The glass is broken out and its rusty but its still in one piece & i love it!❤ I kept my colored ones ion the front porch but the rusty one was in the house. I told you I love to collect lamps.. also oil lamps & lanterns, basically any lighting! Its almost Insanity but I just love them all!😁 Oh I love the little tea set.. so cute! I love the chamber candle holders! I still pick them up when i find them. Oh cool.. my husbands name is Shannon!😀 I have a heart trinket box but i think its a tad smaller & has legs. I have a set of the little mirrors too! Did someone go rob my storage unit & donate my stuff??😄JK Ohhh my goodness!! Now you know I'm obsessed with lamps & have a thing with sheep.. when you get that finished I'm coming to get it!😁 I love the sofa table! I hope my living room is large enough i can put one behind my sofa. When that family moves out on the 15th next month we can go inside. They're having it cleaned & any paint touch ups & all that. I have a dog table but its too modern..i hope i can find one & donate mine. Girlfriend you really did have an amazing haul.. the brass clock took my heart! Good Morning Donna! Oh my what a great haul!!! Especially at one time! I wish when i came to Mississippi last month I could have visited some of the thrift shops! The little glass clock you got I believe is Waterford crystal from Ireland. I have several pieces. As my husbands family is from Ireland and I usually can spot them. Good find! But like ive told you before, you have a great eye! I love watching you and your mom together! How far away does she live from you? I remeber the days when my mother and I use to go to yard sales every Saturday. SHe is in very bad health now and can barely leave the house, just breaks my heart! Beginning stages of Dementia. You are going to have to come to Tennessee! You said you loved the Smokey mountains! I live an hour and half from Pigeon Forge! Go there at least once a month. We always get Dollywood passes. Christmas there is gorgeous! Anytime you and James want to visit you have an open Invitation! My husband and I would enjoy hosting you guys! We live in a historic district. Hi Donna, I had an idea for the sheep lamp. Spray the whole thing black base and all, then dab on cream colored texture paint for the wool part. Dark antique wax over all. ❤ Trish

I’m not sure you should paint the floral clock. That pattern is called Chintz and it’s collectible as is. They usually have matching dishes and other pieces that match that particular Chintz floral pattern
