I'm guessing the recipe meant for you to drain the peaches before putting them in pan. That was alot of liquid for the amount of batter. We all had to learn how to cook/bake. I've thrown away a bunch of fails before getting it right. Fun video tonight.

OMG....I need to stop laughing and compose my thoughts. I will never forget Amber's First Peach Cobbler for as long as I live. Oh, your laughing and the looks on Jordan's face were just priceless. I have heard many people say that "If you're married to someone that will tell you your meal is delicious even when it is burnt to a crisp, you will have a successful marriage." That is what someone in love does. I just cracked up when Jordan was fanning the smoke out the door. You have no idea how many times I have done that. I am so happy it turned out so good. Amber try these, easy and delish. Cookie Bars 3 eggs 1 stick butter 1 box powdered sugar 8 oz cream cheese 1 box yellow cake mix, no pudding in cake mix 1/2 cup coconut 1/2 cup pecans Beat 1 egg and cake mix. Melt butter and mix with cake mix. Beat till moist. Pat on bottom of well greased pan. In a bowl mix 2 eggs, cream cheese and sugar, then mix in nuts and coconut. Spread on top of cake mixture. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. Let cool one hour

Merry Christmas! I got the biggest kick out of this video because I can't cook either!! I don't know how many times we have had to open windows and my husband says he basis when dinner ready by the smoke alarm going off!! I baked cookies for 2 days and ended up with a platter of cookies - only had to make 3 1/2 dozen chocolate chip cookies to get 6 edible ones!! Amber, don't stop trying and y'all bring joy to my life every day!!

You did the correct thing by adding more batter to it. I have the same recipe. I have a recipe that is VERY easy as well it’s the same using the canned peaches on the bottom of a 9x13 pan then you get a box of yellow cake mix and sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of peaches DON’T MIX and slice a stick of butter in pieces and arrange evenly on top of the dry cake mix and Bake at 350 approximately 45 min until golden on top SO GOOD I Adlai make it with canned blueberries or apples instead of the peaches 😉

That's looks great !! The only thing I do differently is I sprinkle regular sugar on top to make crunchy topping.... I add cinnamon sugar also..... Good thinking Bria I put a stick of butter in mine and I put dab better all the over the top of it too.... You can never go wrong with butter..... You do different kinds of fruit with same recipe....if the fruit cherries just add little more sugar...... Merry Christmas Blessings ❤

Um... suggestion.. that cobbler has no fat in it (unless you added melted butter when we weren't looking) and one thing that cobbler should not be without is some butter, in my opinion. My recipe is similar but calls for melted butter as well as the milk and flour.. and I drain my peaches.. if you feel it is missing a little something something, you may want to try adding the melted butter next time. My husband and my girls love this type of peach cobbler.. myself, I prefer the kind with a flaky top and bottom crust, instead of this kind which is more like a cake or biscuit topping, but I've never been able to make a good cobbler with a top and bottom flaky crust.. so there's that. Fantastic. A little late but if you drain most all the juice from the canned fruit, first it'll work fine. If you use fresh fruit like apples, berries, ect you mix with sugar wait and hour then pour the topping over.
