Nights of Lights is always a highlight of the year! It was crazy busy for a Sunday, but so much fun. Great job on your finished object, it looks so good! And those acorns have to count toward your finished object count, right? They are so cute!

I’d love to hear how you started knitting, you’re so talented! I learned to knit and crochet from my grandma many years ago, but really just loved to crochet. Then, fast forward a few decades and I relearned knitting during lockdown 🙃 because I always wanted to make socks!

@@nikiwagner1802 thank you so much! That is so amazing! I love hearing about family teaching family. ♥️ I’ve had lots of hobbies over the years. I tried crocheting from reading things online when I was 8 months pregnant with my first, but my pregnancy brain could not wrap around it 😂 so I gave up before I even made my first project. Last summer I was needing a new hobby and found crocheting on KZbin. Made a lot of the TLYarn Craft baskets. Then I started finding more and making more. All of my yarn was from Joann’s and Walmart. When we were out of town last fall, I was introduced to local yarn stores and hand dyed yarn. All of the women there knit, but I was intimidated and thought it’d be too hard. Then I was looking into the DSW Fiber Festival, I found a walk through from knitty natty, I started watching her vlogmas, then found Crazy Sock Lady and started watching her vlogmas and my interest in knitting peaked! So I started just practicing knits and purls, decided I wanted to dive in and start socks, and the rest is history! When I first started, I remember seeing on a knitting for beginners page that you shouldn’t start with socks because it’s too hard, but then after knitting my first pair of socks I realized that as long as I can find a good video, or series of videos, that most things aren’t too difficult to try. So I just start knitting whatever pattern I found that I liked and hoped for a good KZbin tutorial if I got stuck! I definitely found a life long hobby in knitting!
