The yarn you balled up is so lovely and I’m sure it will make a beautiful shawl. Lovely to see your work in daylight - it’s all beautiful and the water bottle cover looks lovely! I don’t know why you seem surprised about the popularity of your channel Sarah! Your videos are so simple and relaxing hosted by a very lovely lady! What’s not to love? X

Hi Sarah, don’t be surprised by lovely comments, obviously many people, like me, love your gentleness and creativity. I love the colour of the hot water bottle cover you are making, but the skein you wound on the video, WOW😍 I can’t wait to see how it looks as a shawl. Take care x

Hi Sarah. I wind yarn the same way!! Rather time-consuming but it gets the job done and it's quite nice to feel the texture of the yarn as it passed through your fingers.

Hi Sarah, I sympathise with the early mornings, my elderly dog wakes me up at all hours needing to go out and doesn’t settle afterwards, it is exhausting but I think it’s all part of having a pet really and caring for them as they get older. Your shawl is coming along and seeing it in daylight has helped see the beautiful colours in the yarn. I’m just about to start a hot water bottle cover, bought some yarn at my knitting group this morning. Lovely that you’ve got a nice long weekend, enjoy 😊

Thanks for freezing in the conservatory to show us your knitting in daylight. I’m sure you had a hot cuppa right after. I hope you enjoyed your extra day off, having a four day weekend, I hope it was restful and you made great progress on the red shawl. I smiled as you blew out a breath you must have been holding while you tackled that new pattern. Like every one else I really enjoy the simplicity of your YT videos, it’s just tea, and a chat, while knitting with a virtual friend. I’m off to make a fresh brew and start today’s knitting (working on a cardi for my adult daughter, all cables. It’s not difficult per se, but each row seems endless (she’s a plus size girl like me, so many many stitches 🤪🤦🏼♀️🥰).

Hi Sarah, I just love the pink & green shawl that you are wearing. The variegation in it is just gorgeous ❤. I have tried to wind skeins from my knees before & it certainly didn’t work for me 🥴. I just put two dining room chairs back to back & put the skein over both & move them apart until the yarn is reasonably firm. I don’t have a special swift. Also love the colour of the yarn that you are knitting your water bottle cover in. So glad you have four days break, hope you take time to rest from your busy life. Cheers & see you tomorrow 💕👏🥰🤗😍❤️

Absolutely love your hot water bottle cover and your meal looked delicious. So pleased you have a days annual leave, you deserve it. We have a real ‘pea souped’ here, dense fog, coming across the fields, with visibility low. Keep warm. X💕

Love your shawl Sarah, i must look the pattern up. I'm going to start the heath hand warmers. Bought the pattern last year on your recommendation and have still not started them. Will get the wool out tonightx

Hi Sarah. Your water bottle cover is looking good. I also really like the crochet shawl you are wearing at the end, beautiful colours. I ended up getting a swift and ball winder for winding larger skeins, hand winding is too fatiguing on the arms! 😂

Your water bottle cover is coming along nicely Sarah, love the texture. I’ve not tried winding skeins from my knees, I’d probably get in a right muddle 😂. I’ve found two dining room chairs work well. Have a lovely weekend.

I’ve also got red yarn waiting to become a Staffin shawl! Just finishing off a jumper first but might swatch for it tonight.

Hi when I was a girl most yarn that my mother knitted with came in skeins and I was always the one that had to stand with my arms out holding the skein while Mum balled it up, Though your knee thing looks interesting I think I'll stick with my swift. BTW I've been working my way through your podcasts and I thought your hair was really lovely. Love your crochet flower brooches too🌻🌼🏵

I feel your pain with the early wake up calls! My dog has woken me at anytime from 3am to 5am for weeks now, without any obvious reason. Then he just sleeps it off during the day! Look forward to seeing how the fun red and zebra multi skein works up ❤

I wind mini-skeins on my knees, but for a full skein, I pull out the swift and ball winder. 🧶
