In my vlog today, I decided to share about a few things in my life...
1. Dealing with a debt from one of my debtors. It's a result of a failed consulting project that I took on in 2018 (I said 2017 in the video and it's wrong). I think to be fair, I like to think that under different circumstances, I might've have been able to do things differently and things would've definitely turned out differently. My last freelance project was a success actually. ;)
2. Giving myself 6 months to find something permanent in the STEAM Education industry. If I still can't manage to do that, I'm prepared to accept the circumstances and go back to the tech industry. The tech industry definitely pays me better (thanks to my recognitions and experiences), but I can't seem to see myself doing it for the next 10, 20 years. It's not where my #passions are at. It's not my calling. But I have to come to terms with the reality and facts.
3. I've also decided that it's time for me to seek professional help when it comes to dealing with my on-going debt situation. It has persisted long enough and I need to face it head-on and do something about it. I hope that by seeking some professional help, it will help me to deal with my challenges better.
4. My greatest challenge in life right now, is finding the balance between following my calling and dealing with the realities of my financial circumstances.
5. I believe that it is important for people (in general) to know when to admit that they need help. Sure, it is important to take responsibility/ownership of the outcome of whatever decisions and actions we have made. And it is also right that we should not have to involve others and find a way to face the challenges on our own. It is part of being independent in life. That said, I also believe that sometimes, it's important to seek professional advice and counsel. Which is what I am currently trying to do right now.

Freelance gigs (in my experience) generally do pay quite alright. It should be more than enough for me to better manage my debt situation while leaving me with enough to get by.
That will really help me to get by over the next 6 months as I work on finding something a little more permanent.
If there are opportunities in STEAM Education, be it to teach coding, robotics, electronics, or to conduct workshops, do let me know as well. This would have to local though since I'm living in Singapore right now, and traveling might not actually be possible in my current situation.
