I've been using Vmix consistenly for 3 years and there's always something new to learn. I will go back now and adjust some of my shortcuts. They can be more efficient this way.

You should really be using companion after that long.

Would it be possible to insert a simpler mode for audio fades In-Out? I know SetVolumeFade exists but wouldn't it be more practical to have a button in the audio mixer? Thank you.

hi, is there a way to assign shortcuts to change the zoom time in the virtual set?

I have the same question. I'd like to assign a zoom time to one of the keys and program a key on the streamdeck to recall the preset.

Hi Heat, could plan a tuto on Companion and Streamdeck ? And especially what is companion added value when you use a streamdeck with Vmix ?

Plz, share a video about how to live stream on a social media platform (Ex.KZbin) and also on a meeting platform (Ex.Google Meet, Zoom) simultaneously?

Hey Heath! I am so glad you made this video. I have a question... I have noticed when using "Set Layer" that if the input moves from where it was when you assigned the shortcut, it doesn't follow the input's new location. It is not dynamic --- unless I have done something wrong? 🤷♂In other words if your Lake clip is no longer Input number 5, you've added a Frog video as Input 7 and then decided, "hey, I should put all the videos together" soooooooo you slide the Frog video over and make it Input Number 4, which means the Bees are now 5 and the Lake is now 6 and the Studio Set is 7. So when you activate the shortcuts it displays the Frog and the Bees, not the Bees and the Lake. You have to manually go in and change the "Set Layer" to point it to where you originally wanted it. So what I recently did was make sure that if I ever create a new input that I want to use the "Set Layer" on, I'll move it to the front of the Inputs, placing it after the last input that I used as a set layer. In other words, Inputs 1 through whatever never change, and they are ALL inputs that are being used with "Set Layer". I had to figure something out as my detailed productions went bananas LOL and the shortcuts were activating all kinds of crazy things driving me 🍌, and not activating the inputs they were established to work with. This is the only time I have encountered where moving inputs are not automatically adjusted. Or... did I do something wrong? Has watching frog videos like totally messed up my vMix game? 🐸

As far as I know it's normal behavior. You might want to use dynamic function instead. Heath explains it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZWxdZ18aJlpj5o.
