Since it did get a bit of attention, here's my reasoning for why I actually quit. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that I quit because I couldn't 1 combo everything in the game anymore which is just far far from the truth... Being able to kill EVERYTHING is obviously not healthy, especially when you consider the alternative builds we have in this game. The problem arises when we have no ways of killing anything other than maybe people who run full rbf with negative dr. I never wanted ranger to be able to 1 combo a 1.5k eva shai (arrogant) I never asked for it, I openly admitted before its not healthy. What we got in return is something much worse, Awakening ranger is in such a shit state that our main recc ability "Regeneration" or regen for short is completely unusable. It procs both the KD and a DOWNSMASH on each of the 2 hits it has, it's horrible to play with. The small scuffed movement changes they did to use I was already able to adjust to very quickly, but there are core mechanics of the class that are forever lost. I've spend almost 2 years playing awakening ranger and I've pretty much mastered the kit, I was able to adjust to any fight and any scenario whether its nodewars, ow, aos or some 1v1s no one cares about. The most heart breaking outcome of this new patch to see is the skill ceiling when it comes to 1vX pvp, adjusting your combo based on missing skills was the peak of class mastery and anyone who was able to burn through essentially all their skills on 1 guy to combo him and then be able to cc a 2nd person and do a completely different combo that doesnt need the previous skills was very rewarding. You felt like you could even get better as time goes on and be able to uitlize 100% of the kit. But thats long gone now. There is nothing that can be done in the game to fix ranger's core issues. Were in a state where we're forced to fully commit on every cc if we want to do dmg in a kit where we have only frontals and unprotected damage. We don't have the burst to force grabs, we're very slow so we can't chase anything down and like I said before, we cannot even do a 2kd combo anymore. The only way to do a 2kd combo is using cold blade or bg as 2nd cc, and good luck properly utilizing it in a 3v3 scenario. If we're not actively on top of our team mates we dont have the ability to reposition properly in order to go damage on top of their cc without getting cced, best we can do is maybe throw rushing into shotgun into evasive shot into pw, otherwise you're essentially required to rmb unprotected to close the distance into shift e into wind blade into tremble or any sort of combination, but the damage is very small. In AOS the game is so fucked you can just pick up a succ zerker and essentially be able to live unpunished, no one is able to 1 combo you it is very boring to play against. I enjoy a game that takes a lot of skill and doesnt allow for mistakes and that's how the previous season of aos felt like. It felt like we were able to be completely self-sufficient and be able to 1v3 any game if you were skilled enough. I am just rambling at this point but you get the gist of it. A game where you don't get punished for mistakes is not a skilled game, it never will be. I hope I mentioned everything (I didnt) but I cba typing anymore, game is too frustrating to look at. At least I had a lot of fun and I hope I was able to at least leave a mark after myself that I existed.

Very sad to see how little they care about balance in this game. Skilled classes like awakening ranger and ninja get shafted while braindead berserkers and drakanias move at the speed of light doing fully protected combos and are dominant for years. Meanwhile some classes like awakening corsair have literally never been good.

I feel u bro, playing ranger from the release date ( 8 years), i was addicted to pvp (quit NW cuz because of the new system , quit AOS for the same reason like u ) and now i barely grind 1 h/week.....great job PA

tbh I'm with you, this is the first time I feel like I have to reroll just to perform "well" in guild league. We're still as squishy as ever while everyone is tankier. Awaken is still "somewhat" fun, but Succ became unplayable in so many content outside capped NW. I don't know how or when this change will be fixed so I'll just take a break till then. still LOVE your clips cuz MM suck 🤝

Awk felt really good in gleague before. I've always been at least top 3 in damage, kills, ccs in orca. Nowadays? impossible to do much. unprotected reccs, fg damage, low hits, and were required to fully combo to do any damage in the middle of 10 people.
