But ofc technique has improved so that is an advantage for Klæbo. Northug sprinter down sødergren and teichman, Klæbo sprints down Bolshunov

Dario Cologna is one of the best skiers of all time who won Tour de Ski 4 times,unlike Northug who failed to win any... tour de ski is the toughest competition by far. 7 races in 8 or 9 days. Bye bishhh

BUT northug won the tour de ski! along with 2 overall worlcups and 13x gold in worldchamps and 12 more wc races!But most o all northug is worldchampion in every single discipline at least once! and in falun 2015 he won 4 out of 6 races against competition who partially focused only on 1 race. but what i meant back than is northugs behaviour... cologna is kind of boring🤷🏻‍♂️

He was like over 3mins behind, if Sundby wasn't on drugs he still would not be able to beat him because he (Northug) sucked on final climb. And Dario is boring? Loool 😂 He has one of the biggest fanbase all over the Europe.

@@djordjenikolic9059 yeah, IF he wasnt on drugs... and IF they didnt caught johannes dürr, neither sundby nor cologna would have had good chances on the final climb since then😂... something to be proud of i guess. and yes northug sucked there, but who cares? final climb is the most odd xc discipline🤷🏻‍♂️ cologna sucked in sprint therefore and did less well than northug in mass starts, that has more to do with xc than running up a ski hill😂 yeah definitely a big fan base, but because he was succesfull, not because he is a special personality in any way, or not afraid to open his mouth, what northug definetely is!

Nobody will remember Dario Cologna? Objectively speaking: so far Cologna has three individual olympic golds, Northug one. Cologna has won the Tour de Ski three times, Northug never. Cologna has won the overall world cup three times, Northug twice. The ONLY category in which Northug beats Cologna is the amount of world championships: Northug has won five individual golds, Cologna one. I think it is safe to say that Cologna is the best overall skier of the last decade. Sure Northug is much known for his great finishes, absolutely, but to say that no one will remember Cologna is just completely FALSE. People will remember them both. That is a fact. It wouldn't hurt anyone if you showed all the great skiers some respect.

Petter Northug has won the oveerall world cup two times and got two silvers and 1 bronze. Reason why Petter doesnt have 3 golds or more is because he have almost never went for the overall world cup win, instead he goes for the World Championships. Petter have 4 silvers and 2 bronze in Tour de ski. Cologna 3 wins. Northug has 11 golds and 3 silvers in World championships and is now nr 1 ever to have so many golds. He got 2 olympics golds, 1 silver and Bronze. In cross country skiing, world championships is higher than Olympics. Olympics is 1 time every 4 years and doesnt show how good you are from season to season, only that spesific time. So, overall Petter is the best cross country skiier with a crazy overall 15 Golds Medals, 10 Silvers and 4 Bronze. Cologna: 10 Golds medals, 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze.

Bratt Bratsberg Well, different people value different achievements, and that's fine as long as people acknowledge the difference between objectivity and personal views. But I have a few things to say. First, world championships are definitely not generally more respected than the olympics in cross-country. That's just your opinion, not a _general_ opinion. Second, you have to keep in mind that eight of Petter's medals (including 6 golds) have been in relays or team sprints. Dario doesn't have a team like that to rely on, so we can't really take those medals into account when comparing these two on their _individual_ achievements, even though they are great achievements as well. Third and most importantly, you implied that Petter has been in form every year, not only in the olympics like Dario. Well, actually none of Dario's overall world cup victories came in the same seasons as his olympic or WCH gold medals, so that argument is totally invalid. Dario has won either the Tour, a gold medal or the overall world cup _every_ season since 2008-2009. Again, if you look objectively at the big achievements of the two skiers, you see that Dario beats Petter in _everything else_ except in the amount of world championship gold medals. So objectively speaking, Dario's achievements make him the most successful skier of the past decade. There's no denying that, not in any possible way. BUT that does not mean that some people, like you, can't put world champs first. That's a question of personal views, and personal views differ between people. Still, when looking at it objectively and non-biased, Cologna _as an individual_ has achieved more during his career than Northug has. And that is why it is completely safe to call him the best skier of the past decade. I'm Finnish, by the way, and I respect both of these skiers greatly. Just pointing that out so you can see that there is no bias towards Switzerland in my arguments.
