For consistency the NICs from the ESXi hosts should be configured to use the same uplinks. This will avoid any confusion when managing the vSphere environment

Hi At first I would like to thank such well explained clip. I do have a question is it necessary to have distributed switch for Mcafee MOVE deployment to be successful?

But how the different exsi hosts are interconnected? Is it thorugh the physical network ?

Hi Niyas, Do you have any video to connect two desktops using virtual switch to create homelab.Purpose is to get hands on for exchange server and security policy roll out

Desktops connect automatically if they are connected to same switch.

Would it be a good idea to create 2 distributed switches, each with dedicated separate uplinks and use one for the vkernel (management net etc) and one for the Vms data/lab? With 4 NICs per switch, should you use them separate or would it be an idea to pair them two and two with the nics in a pair providing increased throughput (LACP/LAG) and the pairs redundancy?

For Management, it is better to use vStandard switch. Reduce the complexity one vds is recommended unless it is required

Hello Niyas. Are you using 10gbps as in the network configuration says 10gbps? Thank you
@itproguide5 жыл бұрын
It is nested esxi, not directly on hardware. All are 1 Gbps only.
