During the last presidential elections the usual tendency between voters was also evident- the regions closer to the Western European countries that are more industrialized and closely integrated with other EU countries usually have more supporters of the more liberal/pro-EU candidates, while the other regions support more conservative candidates (see regional distribution of votes in the latest elections here: wiadomosci.wp.pl/wyniki-wyborow-2020-polska-ponownie-podzielona-6531414326372481a ). The last verse that says “the enemy is the vaccine and 5G” ”your nephew is a f** cuz there’s fashion for gender” “a little coal never killed nobody” are common talking points of PiS, a politician party that’s currently in power (which Taco Hemingway criticises in this song). PiS is also anti-EU and very religious, which is why there’s sentences like “try to look more narrowly” and the parody of a prayer at the end. You can see the criticism of PiS earlier in the song as well, in the part that starts with “who are you? A little Pole”. The sentence “propaganda of fear” is an allusion to how The politics in Poland are based on spreading antagonism towards minorities (PiS’s presidential campaign this year centered around antagonism towards the lgbtq community, but even before that PiS was instilling in people the fear of immigrants) At the end of the video you can see 8 stars behind the pictures: it’s a censored sentence “fuck PiS” (it’s also a critique on the censorship in polish media in my opinion). Also as to why there’s pictures from the 90s: Poland was in the communist block up until 1989, and once it gained independence the western produces were allowed within our borders. The 90s were like, the first years of Poland making an identity for itself, and getting new problems that came with it, problems which we haven’t solved yet. One more thing: the entire paragraph “who are you? A little pole” etc is a parody of a rhyme that polish children learn in schools. The original one goes like this: “ Who are you? A small Pole. Tango is a dance, but also a reference to the Polish political comedy play "Tango" written by Sławomir Mrożek from 1964. Political criticism is hidden (censorship in communist Poland). The story is about a family that wanted to make a revolution in their lives (parents do not want to be adults, they behave like rebellious teenagers, grandmother like a child). They often invite Edek, a brutal and uneducated "bully", to their home, because they think that life "without rules" is fun. Their son is tired of it and wants to restore "normal" order. Unfortunately, instead, the reign of the family is taken over by a stranger "bully" - Edek. It is a reference to the revolution in countries such as Poland and Russia. So the song is basically a diss on the current government and the way they run the politics (that's why his talking about the gay nephew, coal, fear propaganda and so on). The current ruling party is opressive towards LGBT people, women, is anti-EU, doesn't want to stop building coal mines and isn't willing to try to stop the pollution the mines are causing. He's telling about the past (90s) to explain, why we as Poles ended up in this situation and stop the stereotype about 90s being the golden era in Poland.
