Just like to say thank you for all the kind comments on this video. I was just messing around with WMM (ugh what a horrible program) and had no idea it would get so popular. Despite numerous bans, You Tube has let it go public again when there was enough views, as it makes money from slapping an ad on it. I hope VNV don't think I was trying to usurp their intentions by mixing these videos with the track. It was done more in the spirit of how I was feeling about the world that day, and "Still Waters" was running in my head. Once again thanks for the positive comments and share requests- Kano :D

I've been a video editor for 10 years. Really great stuff. Actually just saw 1984 for the first time about a month ago. So seeing that cut with this makes it even more impactful. Nice job. Sometimes it's the things we spend the least amount of time on that has the most impact, and the projects we spend forever on are ignored. It's not about you. This song was always there in the unloved symphony of Future Perfect. It was waiting in the silence to be heard. Those three films, the fact Ronan Harris went on to do Symphonic versions of songs on Resonance with the Babelsberg film Orchestra is simply amazing; they played the score in the full 'lost' version of Metropolis.

This is amazing! The juxtaposition of the thoughtful lyrics and beauty of the song with the dystopian images from the movies, then finally coming together in the scene of green fields is brilliant and moving. VnV Nation is my favorite band of all time. Kudos for this.

Yes, there is no doubt that VNV had been inspired by 1984... Even the ENGSOC sign and the "Victory" sign (cigarettes and gin) resemble the VNV sign! And remember the live shows in the early days, when ronan and mark were wearing these ridiculous overalls (I know saying "ridiculous" is kind of heresy) ;-) The more you think about the whole empire and futureperfect thing the more parallels you ll find. This song and this clip is what I ve bin waiting for, MARVELLOUS!!!!

Funny that you´we chosen clips from the movie "1984". When I saw it I was surpriced by how much Ronan had been inspired from it. The song "Foreword" are "borrowd" from the main title song...
