she started singing when she was 4 years old and started joining singing contest at the age of 6. everything she can do was came from her experience in joining singing contest. she never trained by a vocal coach. maybe in long singing contest where there are coaches for them for grand finals. and now she's in mid 20s. pls more of her reactions..

she's also known as "suklay diva" means "comb diva" coz she was discovered in social media . impersonating and singing DANGEROULSY INLOVE by Beyonce. she's singing while holding a comb as her mic. just for fun. and then it became viral... then she joined in national tv singing competition and she made it to the finals... that opened the door for her to be known. but sadly she's still underated here.. last year she did 2 concerts. I know soon she'll be known worlwide..

Katrina Velarde has this "lung power". She can belt like about 30 seconds or more with just one breath. She also has a very touching and beautiful journey in singing and life before she became a superstar. Please react to her "I wanna dance with somebody" live singing on Lunch Out Loud. Katrina Velarde is one of a handful of singers who I've discovered for myself this year from different parts of the world. In addition to Katrina, that list would include: Morissette - Philippines Daneliya Tuleshova - Kazakhstan Angelina Jordan - Norway Roberta Battaglia - Canada Sohyang - South Korea And I haven't even started to listen to guys like Dimash from Kazakhstan, or Marcellito and TNT Boys from the Philippines. Another good recent release from Katrina would be her version of After The Love Is Gone.

I was wondering if this is your first reaction to Katrina, or if you have seen at least “go the distance”. Shame on you for taking this long! But, at least you’ve seen the brilliance now. Especially with what is probably her best performance ever. And all the rest are not far behind this level either. She is the best at riffs and runs that I’ve ever heard! Plus, she impersonates different voice is extremely well. Watch her singing “never enough” while in personating like seven different singers.
