I love this song so much - it’s an instant ear worm. I did have a few copyright problems with this but managed to get an edit online so let’s go with it. If you haven’t seen the original performance the links in my description 🥰

The other judge that's reacting, in the orange, is Jessica Mauboy. She's another hidden gem in Australia, she was on Australian Idol at just 16. She's brilliant! Highly recommend!

Master of breath control and vocal runs, our boy Guy is the real deal. Writes all his own stuff and plays multiple instruments. The world needs to hear more Guy Sebastian! Thanks for this reaction, fantastic!

LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ Guy Sebastian & the fact that he writes ✍️ all his own music 🎶. Have you heard choir another top hit here in Australia. My favourite though is standing with you do yourself a favour & listen to it. He also performed this live on the voice. A performance that matches every bit as beautiful as this 😂❤❤😊

Thanks for reacting to Guy he is one of the best on the planet yet a lot have never heard of him. His vocals are crazy and love his rich beautiful tone. Guy reminds me a lot of Stan Walker you should check him out he also won Australian idol and is from New Zealand

Othe way round. Stan reminds you of Guy and Guy was first idol winner. That’s what I thought first time I heard Stan on idol a few years later 😊

Thanks, this was a great reaction. Yes Guy is the king of breath control and vocal runs, without overdoing it.

This Guy can sang for real. One of the best male singers in modern time. He should be notised world wide. Check battle scars from his home studio live. Freakin awsome.

His last album is incredible on vinyl. Battlescares was popular world wide and he got a bit of hype after Eurovision. Madness looped is mind blowing. Sitting side stage seeing him do it was 🤯

Love your reactions Nina, I may be biased as an Australian but Guy is a world class vocalist indeed! Was lucky enough to see him twice in May on his Truth tour and I simply don't have the adequate superlatives to describe how incredible these shows were! A lot of people are going to tell you to react to his Anzac Day acoustic version of Battle Scars and they are 100% right, if you haven't yet you're missing out!

He wrote the song about his wife when she was struggling with thinking she wasn't good enough for him. There's some background there with how she treated him around the time of his early days in his Australian Idol journey. So maybe she still carries some guilt over that which led to her self-doubt? Anyhoo, beautiful song for sure!

Great reiew as always Nina, you really need to take a look at Guys battle scars anzac day performance acoustic version, just him and his guitar in his home studio, but absolutely outstanding vocal, but then Guys vocal is always outstanding as you know , :) and for a bit of fun take a look at his Global Citizen Concert, gives you a real good idea of his tallent and sense of humor, very raw footage but well worth the watch..

Bless you Nina! Thanks for another Guy reaction. "The Voice" are notoriously vibe killers in the copyright department, so thank you for persevering and doing the work to get your reaction up for us to see. I love hearing you describe the technical skill aspects of his voice but also the emotional delivery in the performance - I agree there's got to be a balance of both! ❤😊

INCREDIBLE!!! GREAT REACTION!!! I would really appreciate you checking out Bella Taylor Smith (voice winner 2021) + Guy Sebastian singing 'The Prayer' for the final..... it's just incredible.... ALSO Bella's blind audition of 'Ave Maria'....... she is just one of the best vocalists i've ever heard...

He is a treasure. He did a live version (but fairly poor quality video) duet with Jimmy Barnes of Hold On Im Coming which was amazing. if you like the vocal growl, youll love Jimmy, he is a national icon. and Jimmys duet with John Farnham of When Something is wrong with my baby (live is always best). And Johns version of Help (live with MSO) is awesome. Jimmys Stone Cold (with Joe Bonamassa is beautiful too).

I REALLY need you to review Guy's acoustic home version of Battle Scars for ANZAC day. I NEED you to explain his breathing control. It is ridiculous. He's one of a kind and should be world famous. No disrespect to Ed (I love him), but Guy also writes all his own material and... well... that voice. He should be HUGE.
@steveacfield6131 Жыл бұрын
100% agree. It's not only one of his most brilliant performances, but it also demonstrates his ability to adapt his own song in different ways, and his incredible breathing technique, which is as good as Frank Sinatra's was. BUT Guy's greatest gift, even above his voice, has to be his song writing. The composition, and definitely his lyrics. Battle Scars, Get Along, Standing with You, Believer, Choir, Blood Stone, and so on. ALL are world class. And that's not even to mention his number 1 pop songs. He is a once in a generation talent and should be world known. He easily matches artists like Ed Sheridan (and I love Ed). Just saying.

I know you like guy but the female judge you see screaming is just as good as guy so look up Jessica mauboy She has a powerful voice as well and no 1s on the charts here as well both Jessica and guy where winning contestants before becoming judges on the voice and a judge who just left the show with as impressive voice is delta goodness she is like guy and write a lot of her own songs besides so health issues cancer at 19 and later in her career had a operation on her neck that left her vocal cords paralysed and had to learn to speak again and able to sing again after a lot of effort on her and speech therapist The song she wrote about her experience from recovery was titled paralyzed We are extremely lucky here in Oz every generation seem to get several stand out artists that's world class musicians But most are humble and like to sing at home and loved by many Hope you'll look up and enjoy these artists as well
