Thank u for being honest in ur analysis Coach. Many reactors/vocal coaches would probably not point those errors out even if they recognize for fear of upsetting their subscribers. But no artist is ever perfect all the time. It doesnt in any way lessen my admiration for her. You can probably find a few better singers than her but they dont touch my heart the way she does when she sings.

Love this reaction. I’ve noticed this too, most of Mori’s intonation problem is really just a semitone. Some people would notice this by that “not so right” feeling. I reckon that this is most likely a habit developed (you know when you keep on singing what you usually hear) only to realise that it isn’t really the correct note.

With Mori flats or sharp can't be easily noticed because the drama in her voice is exceptional.. No one will care about a little not onpoint notes because every single song she performs is like a complete meal that will leave you asking for mor (isette) 😇😇😇

4:03 It sounded off because she mixed whisper belt and feeling at that part, she needs to do it soft to give balance with the technique which was pleasant, somehow if she did it with a normal voice it will still be okay and could hit the note on point. Off key sometimes maybe intentional at a point where in your are going to change the keys/notes, which is more audible to RNB singers when they riff and run notes. This part shows how good she was..... I am so impressed by your analysis....You're one of the best music reactors I've seen so far.

I my have just seen this but regarding the whistle she made with a Mariah song "Emotions" at a concert, I think you were talking about the Asia's Song Festival. The whistle register she made on other videos taken were perfect.. flawless. However the recorded video that most reactors like you watched were that of a live streaming V Live that had technical issues because when it was Mories' turn to sing, the live stream became slow cuz most of the people were logged in.

An honest reaction is the best reaction! Thanks coach Frank! ❤️❤️❤️ So she was flat on that one note. If youve been watching her for as long as some of us have, you’ll know that not all her performances are 100% perfect. There are 2 or 3 that actually comes to mind in which she had a little hiccup in some part of the song (most notable to me is her 2017 asian song festival where her whistle kinda faltered in the end) but what about the 99% time when she delivered, owned and killed the song that she was singing? A lot of world famous (ahem) “singers” cant even sing good LIVE but our girl here has perfect pitch 99% of the time and has range and technical mastery that is out of this world! A few hiccups here and there are nothing when almost all her performances are topnotch. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 No matter how great a singer you are, you WILL EVENTUALLY make a mistake. That’s just a fact of life. GURL IS HUMAN 🙊🙊🙊 and surprise surprise prone/susceptible to making mistakes just like the rest of us. ☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽

Other reactors/vocal coaches would have glossed over that but i prefer an honest reaction to both the good and the bad in every performance rather than a reaction that aims to just please the viewers and tell them what they want to hear. I hope you continue to do just that. Don’t be afraid of the haters because the REAL FANS are secure in their belief and love for Morissette to not be butthurt by facts and some constructive criticism. I really like this breakdown of her performances. I started watching reaction videos just to see how people will be amazed by these incredible talents. However, the more I watch credible people react to these singers, the more I appreciate how incredibly hardworking these people are in developing their already great talent! I really love how you also used your piano to make it easy for us to understand the jargons you are using! I'm learning a lot! Hopefully, I'll be able to use it to improve my own skills as well. p.s. reverb is always confused with echo. They are similar but not the same. Both are reflected sound. However, there's a certain distance that the sound needs to travel in order for our brains to distinguish a separation between the direct and reflected sound. Echo is when they seem to be separated. Reverb is when there's not enough delay that the sound seems to be prolonged. When we sing in the bathroom, that's Reverberation. When we shout in a valley, that's Echo. :)

Really love listening on your analysis coach👌💞. One thing that I love Morissette because she never do recorded tracks, autotunes or lip synching just to be said she's perfect, even on her first major solo concert she sang 30 consecutive song and still pull it out all are LIVE. And one instance on her Milan concert where audiences want her to sing Holy Night because it's Dec and winter there as she sang she knows that she can't execute the whistle because of the cold weather she did not do it and just make a joke. Some humiliate her but to me it makes me appreciate and admire her more, cause it just means she is a human being and at least she's not lip synching, for me lip synching is not good cause doing that you are cheating the audiences.
