Yeah, her sound is so filled with air. It seems quite simple, yet it is hard to replicate because it requires a lot of breathing out. Love Agnes, her voice is magical. Her music is out of this world. She has a lot of incredible songs.

I was going to start a comment about how Nordic she sounded and was going to draw parallels to Ane Brun, Anna Ternheim and Sophie Zelmani before I realized that Agnes is a Dane and therefore is a part of the Nordic soundscape . This is a distinct sound that has been around up here for decades now.

Agnes Obel is just such an amazing singer/songwriter! She puts me into a trance with her music! (Aside from Ane Brun, the other amazing Nordic singer/songwriter she reminds me of is Aurora Aksnes, who likewise conveys an ethereal quality in her music, but in her own way).

Damn... this video gives me feels. Her concert was the last one I attended before the outbreak of covid pandemic in my country in March this year. They played this song as well and it sounded even more magical. I went to this concert on Monday, was supposed to go to a Chelsea Wolfe concert on Wednesday, but all the public events were cancelled on Tuesday. Including all the concerts I had tickets for throughout the whole year. I miss live music so much.
