Athena Conde In a way it does, Rose sings the bridge in both ktl and hylt. The ending is a dance-break just like ktl. The ending pose is the ktl ending pose. Also the use the same “look at you, look at me” lyrics. The song is definitely nice but you can’t deny that there aren’t similarities with Kill this love.

Simplicity it’s similar in some ways but in others shows the company is at least tryin to be more creative. Lisa got the big rap part. Jisoo and rosé didn’t just share prechoruses and they even shared the bridge. It was a drop chorus but they sang a bit more. The music itself changes a lot whereas ddu and ktl were very uniform. But yes structure is very similar

Kill This Coconut that’s not exactly what they mean. They meant in the first verse Jennie opens then Lisa, the second verse is a rap part, usually Jennie, the prechoruses are divided between Jisoo and rosé and it’s usually swapped the second time, the TWO choruses are drop choruses, rose does the bridge, and there is a dance break outro instead of a third chorus. Of course most every song has two verses, about 3 choruses, and a bridge bc that’s how a song is made. They meant variety for bp specifically. But for this comeback although still a similar construction, it had enough changes to show growth

Hi I’m Weird for me, i feel like it was intended to resemble their other songs. Some phrases like “badabing badaboom” “look at you look at me” “du du du du du” were included in HYLT. Not only that in the MV itself, the umbrella scene is reminiscent of Jisoo’s scene in D4. I guess you can put it as, HYLT is to show the growth of the girls by reminiscing their past and experiences.
