Gary Valenciano has the reputation of being a strong Christian and his friend Santos wrote this song and asked Gary to write the music for it. Santos passed away not long ago. I don't know if Gary sang Santos his song but Santos didn't get to hear Morissette's version. I have heard Gary sing this song on KZbin but Morissette took it to the Highest Heaven. Morissette recently, relatively speaking, I'm 43 yrs in Christ, became a Christian and I believe she relived her conversion as she sang this song. Her tears were genuinely shed as were mine when I heard this song. Great analysis and comments. Life is meaningful because Jesus is real. God Reigns.

True, usually when we add indefinite articles to nouns like ‘a’ it means its not define, not specific, not particular. So when we’re talking to God, He’s not just a friend, a healer, a teacher, a father, a brother, etc He is the Almighty God and we all know Him. He is everybody’s friend, healer, teacher, father, brother, etc.

This is honestly one of my favorite worship songs to date. I don't sing them a lot, I just listen. My voice keeps breaking when I sing songs like these because it feels so personal and I get easily emotional. I believe as humans, while we value individuality and freedom, we tend to look for a place to belong, a refuge for when we feel lost and confused. And God works in mysterious ways, but you'll find the guidance you need when you need it.

Thank you for this video. Freddie is my cousin and we mourn over his passing. This song is from First Name, Freddie’s first musical and also Gary’s first musical and this was the first song composed. As has been stated, Freddie Santos passed late last year. The lyrics and message are paramount with the melody and accompaniment as the vehicle for delivering the soul and spirit of this emotional and touching song. The subdued videography and orchestral background, along with Mori's tasteful vocals, assist in highlighting the spiritual content of this beautiful worship song. Even if one doesn't claim to be a "believer", the questions and plea for meaning and guidance are universal. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction and insightful commentary on this masterpiece.

I just watched this today. Let me say we appreciate your videos a lot. And don't worry about the charts too much, we see sincerity in your videos, and I think that's what matters to most viewers. Often, the algo just wants to do its own thing. One moment, my feed is filled with reaction videos of my favorite artists, the next week it's filled with science education and experiment videos, and the next week it's full of ML videos, several other interests more and it cycles again. All of which are my interests and I think there are a lot of people like me with varied interests. I don't grow to hate any of these interests, not at all, it's just that I naturally cycle through them depending on my mood, and YT's algo wants to follow that. Social media is definitely a factor among most users in driving the crowd's collective interests, but I hardly engage in social media. All my life right now is work, watch videos/read manhwas/novels, sleep, repeat. In YT, if I feel I've exhausted all good content for a specific interest, I naturally switch to the other one and the cycle would take quite a bit of time before it gets back. Also, I'm fond of stashing videos because I binge watch from time to time. So no, you're not doing anything wrong at all. There's just a pattern, a cycle, and I'm willing to bet it's the same for everyone, including you. While your videos may not get immediately what you think it should have gotten, wait for the cycle to kick back again. I believe YT boosts videos with the clicks it gets plus the viewership factor. It takes a set sample to engage in your videos before they re-feature your videos into most of your subscribers' feeds. You're doing perfect production. So please don't feel too pressured.

Sorry to say Freddie Santos passed away in December 2020 this is a Tribut to Freddie who wrote the lyrics to this song back in 1988 and begged Gary Valenciano to write the arrangement for his lyrics, it is a Christian song from a Philippinen Musical and Gary rearranged it for Morissette.
