Greetings from Germany again..damned, my friend, that was perhaps the best reaction video i've ever saw. Because you notice & appreciate everything, especialy those little things (the stunning of the crowd, Bruce holding the Mikrophon stand with one hand..etc.) things that even i didn't notice. Just like you i also thought it was Vincent Price. It says that he wanted way to much money. Bad luck for him and very good for us, the MaidenFamily. Because they hired a man called Barry Clayton, a Radio & TV pionier and storyteller. He gave us this iconic and everlasting 25 seconds quote from the book of revelation. He past away in 2012 R.I.P....Wow, awesome. And it seems you will dive deeper into Maiden. And thats amazing. And i'm so glad. I just wanna let you know how much that mean to me. I'm a MaidenManiac since 1986. To see you starting to discover Maiden reminds to my first expirience, long ago. You take me literaly back in time. To a time, maybe the best of my life. Thats totaly crazy. Thats why i love those react videos. That whats all about, right. But alot reacters dont check that. With disinterest & no respect to Bands, their music and their fans. They're obviously just doing this for likes, for getting patrions and making money. This is sad and sucks. And thats why it's so difficult to find true and honest guys like you. So i just say "Thank You" and keep on rockin'&rollin' and Stay Safe UP THE IRONS ...from Köln/Cologne..Stefan 🤘🎸💚🐾

Yes, that is one of the best screams of all time! It is a scream that was not supposed to be there from the beginning. When recording the album of the same name, the producer Martin Birch (R.I.P.) forced Bruce to sing the first part over and over and over. It took hours and I believe he started to break chairs in the end because he got so frustrated. The final time he nailed it, and was asked to sing that scream. Which he did very willingly and the result is now the iconic scream! More in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5WrnZKGjJKHZ6M

There’s a little gem from the extended Maiden catalogue, one of their B-sides titled Reach Out. Bruce switches to backing vocals while guitarist Adrian Smith sings lead. His voice is really good. He’s done some solo stuff too where he does more vocal work. Reach Out was on the B-side of Wasted Years, which I highly recommend listening to, even more so the Flight 666 live version as you get to Adrian on backing vocals on that.

Great video, Mr. Ken. As far as I know, the song is based upon a nightmare Steve Harris (bassist, founding member) had after watching Damien: Omen II. Also, Steve and Bruce used to fight over stage space (as each felt that centre stage was theirs.) So, to annoy Steve, Bruce would stick-out his long mic stand (which has a very wide set of legs, at the base) to trip-up Steve. If you want to hear something totally funny, Bruce secretly recorded an argument between Steve and Nicko McBrain (their drummer) which latter made it onto the B-side of something. It's called A Mission From 'Arry.
@CoffeeMatt103 жыл бұрын
It was on the B-side for 2 Minutes To Midnight, I’ve developed a habit of saying “f*** my old boots” thanks to that 😂 Bruce recorded it, and he deliberately tried to wind Nicko up even more too... “What if the light truss was gonna fall on you?”

“Cunt was standing beside me, sitting down!” I remember picking up the 12” single with that on the B-Side and being initially disappointed that it wasn’t a song. But I came to appreciate it once I listened a few times. It was just there with absolutely no context given.

As a lifelong metalhead I can't wait to watch you dive deeper into the range of the metal genre. One song/band that I think you should explore if not try out is Opeth. Mikael Akerfeldt is an extremely talented vocalist with a huuuuge range, that spans fry screams to guttural growling to beautiful clean singing. Anytime I hear him, I just get shivers down my spine of how talented he is. I would recommend the song "Ghost of Perdition" or "Blackwater Park" as a starting point as they go through a good portion of his range, though it is a bit heavy and rough (Opeth are a progressive death metal band for those wondering, a lot grittier than Maiden). If that sounds like too much to start off with, try the songs "Harvest", "Hours of Wealth", "Windowpane", "Death Whispered a Lullaby" or "Isolation Years" because they're much softer/more acoustic songs.
