Kate has been well loved by Australia for years. Other songs that she has done that you may enjoy are "Yours was the Body", "Share you Air", "Sarah" and "Words" to name a couple. She has extensive Classical and Operatic training. Also is important to know she is a singer/songwriter who tells stories with her songs. "Zero Gravity" itself talks about her struggle with postpartum depression.

The style of this reminded me of the movie 5th Element! Vocal Gymnastics! I really loved it but I also spotted it wasn't getting that many likes on youtube. I think they don't appreciate the technique and talent this artist has.

By far, yours is the best reaction . Clearly you know what you are talking about. I love this song so much! Listening to it every single day. Kate has amazing voice ...for me she is way better than any other contestants. Love the staging also,..so enchanting(Many people said she needs to dance. I don't think so) and mesmerizing. For me ,this should win! 💛🇦🇺

She featured in Australian Story on ABC TV this week. Australians can get it on iView. She trained in opera, but then went pop. She does both. I would guess that most of the dislikers don't understand the music.

Great hearing your reaction. I like the song, it stands out in the crowd and the crossover of genres is interesting. The music video of the song has the lyrics on screen. Question - Why are all vocal coaches such lovely people?
@PrincessGold13 жыл бұрын
1. It takes a few viewingsfor the song to really click in. At first quite a few people don't like it, then a bit later,they live it, 2. This video was her performance where Australia was deciding on their entry.. To get the full effect of the song and Kate's talent please check out her performance at Eurivision itself, where not only 2 people representing depression were on those swinging poles, but also Kate! It was an extroardinary feat!

I loved this song right away. I didn't have the time to watch the whole show, but I watched the summary reminder sequence from which this one stuck out. She hit my taste bulls-eye. Interestingly, I'm also a fan of Nightwish who also combined different styles to create a new whole. Thanks for uploading, it was interesting to get your professional take on her. Und ganz liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. ;-)

I was wondering if any vocal coaches would do a reaction video on this, Kate does like to mix the genres in this way, If you check out O Vertigo, or Humiliation live, it's a very similar mix, makes her stand out from the crowd.

Kate Miller-Heidke is a brilliant singer. She's classically trained and a professional song-writer having written and sung in operas and musicals and she's recorded numerous brilliant contemporary pop albums. She often writes and performs with her husband, singer and guitarist, Keir Nuttall with whom she co-wrote new music and lyrics for the musical theatre version of Muriel's Wedding. Anyone who loved her Eurovision performance should check out her songs and albums which are superb!

you either loved it or hated it, technically she did very well, but Most people just are not into the classics and this cross over seemed a bit weird to many. I thought this was very brave for Australia, but she did not perform perfectly on the night because i think she was tired and also all that swaying around did not help her ability to sing.

Hi Tania you seem not have reacted to Angelina Jordan yet. I would expect you do so after reacting to Angelica and Daneliya, and 200 million views in YT. She’s 13 since January and sings classic jazz since she was very young, winning Norge GT at age 8. I call her the happiest child singer and expect that she will go beyond being the best singer alive because of her character, I mean, there’s more than unbelievable talent in this kid, now a teen. Tania - i have to note that if you want to be taken seriously discussing vocal diction, you may want to pay more attention to your own voice. Your slurring was off putting. Are you drunk?
@TaniaLevy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Brendon, no i dont drink since 3 years to be honest. I do whatsoever have a vocal disphonia since i am 14 years old. I do have tongue tension from biting and crunching in the night and the left side of my tongue hurts very much. To be honest in some days I slurr way more.Well and if thats all not enough,i do have hyper acid reflux since 2017. Specially if i switch to another language the sound gets more tense in some days!Well you can not have it all in life! I do whatsoever admit that my vocal folds are "fucked up" from all the acid! That all got worse in 2017. I definitely won’t change my job because of that,it happens to Teachers and other professions.
@TaniaLevy5 жыл бұрын
I think i do look more drunk then i sound ^^
@BrendonLeeOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Tania - dont pay any attention to me. I really didnt mean what i said. I actually think your a gorgeous girl & seem nice. Please dont take what i wrote to heart, in a way i was trying to be funny. Admittedly i am a smart ass at times but i truly didnt mean it.. As you can probably tell, i am Australian. :) ..& I do feel that Kate Miller-Heidke has had a bit of unwarranted negativity lately. Kate has openly had an extremely tough few years with a lifechanging pregnancy that left herself with Postnatal Depression aswell as traumatic body/vocal damage which rendered her unable to sing for such a long time. She wasnt sure if she would ever sing again. I think this was a comeback for her from an experience which almost destroyed her. She faced her demons and bounced back, which i find commendable. It seems effortless for people to pass judgement on various artist's vocal choices or abilities, without even attempting to understand the journey. She has released a few other music videos I think you should look up when you get the time, to get a feel for her style. 1. WORDS 2. LAST DAY ON EARTH enjoy & take care my friend ⓧ
