It's mostly in tongue placement. If you pull your tongue back and up just a little bit you get the resonance to make them sound like that

14:34 I first learnt how to do this after hearing Possession by Whitechapel, I essentially did a standard high pig squeal and dropped my vocals until it hit the low note (sorry if that didn't make sense). I've gotten a lot better at this sound after practicing mongolian/tuvan throat singing techniques, it kinda uses similar techniques and I can get some pretty filthy distortion going.
