Power metal and heavy metal fans (so many brazilians, germans, mexicans and japanese fans) are deeply emotional right now due to André Matos passing. We are mourning the loss of the greatest volcalist in Brazil, one that made a whole generation get into music, to study music like him... he inspired a lot of people. I am greatful for your video Rebeca. In a way, it feels a tribute to him to get (more) recognition from other professional musicians. André was not only a great voice. The was a good soul and studied so hard to deliver great compositions. He touched so many lives through his career. All those deep emontions were externalized in his music and his art. I have known about Angra for at least twenty years, but the first time I gave them a listen was two months ago on the same day of the announcement of Andre Matos passing away. Since then I have gotten every studio album and live album from Angra. I love them all, especially Angel's Cry, Holy Land, Fireworks, Rebirth, Rebirth World Tour Live In Sao Paulo, Temple Of Shadows, and Angel's Cry 20th Anniversary Tour. I also got all of Shaman's albums and the live album which this performance is on RituAlive is PHENOMENAL!!! Some of favorite songs that Andre has written and composed are Carry On, Lisbon, and Fairly Tale. I hate that I did not give Angra a chance when I first heard about them because I have become a huge fan of theirs and Shaman. I have been a huge Heavy Metal fan for over thirty years and love bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Scorpions, Iced Earth, Rainbow, and many more. Now both Angra and Shaman are on my list of favorite bands ever. Viper is the next band that I am planning on checking out. Andre was a PHENOMENAL singer, songwriter, and composer. The world lost an amazing talent, but Andre's music will live on forever. May he Rest In Peace.

It's realy nice to see you talking about Andre Matos, I saw him live two times here in Brazil, with two different bands and it was such different experiences. His heart was 100% in what he did and he lived for his music. He'll be missed. Thank you for this. ♡

He wasn't known just by his high pitch voice. Shaman covered Sister of Mercy's song "More", and it was great. He was very talented. Rest in Peace Andre
