“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. V's voice is such a treasure. I still remember when they went to America to learn about music and they went to Iris Stevenson and she was amazed by how soulful a then 18 year old v's voice was. Such soulful beautiful quality. This is the first time i have fallen so deep for someone's voice, his voice has so much personality. This song is so perfect for V. Its deep, hauntingly beautiful and sexy. His voice in this song is sensual and sad at the same time. God this man!!! He's as beautiful as his voice is.

Its pure poetry. There is no way else to describe it. Pure art absolutely incredible. Never heard anything like it. All of the BTS members have blown me away. Only been listening for about 2-3 days and I haven't been able to scrape myself away from the screen. I'm not kidding I'm losing sleep and I'm going through a hard time right now. And this is somethng I've never felt with any boy band. Especially when I can't understand what they are saying. Oh my God I can't even right now. I'm sorry. It's just a blessing. No way else to describe it. They are a blessing to me. Omg I don't know why I can't pull myself away. They are more addicting than anything I've ever tried or heard. I'm losing my mind and all the elements they put into there music! It's introducing me into a sound I've never heard. Within the 2 days I've been listening to them I feel more open minded than I've ever been. I'm from a very dangerous harsh area in PA Lancaster city. It's hard here I'm a good looking male myself but I've never been able to express my sexuality. I've never been attracted to anyone like I am to V and the other members. That might sound weird but they are confusing me. And I'm not over exaggerating I'm scared right now. I'm a 16 year old male. I've always been a bit feminine but when I watched fake love I was truly attracted and jealous of the feminine aspects they put into their appearance. I'm sorry don't hate on me for this please. I don't know why I'm saying this on KZbin I just can't say anything like this anywhere else. It's not accepted I'm so jealous of them. But I love them.

RM (BTS leader) wrote the lyrics. He's thinking back of the choices he made years ago .. instead of going solo as a rapper, he chose to remain with BTS an idol group. He wrote the song while he was recuperating from surgery (deviated septum) so he was referencing the pain in his throat. He said he buried his voice, he wondered what was he supposed to do back then (choices?), he threw himself away and a layer of ice formed. But some day the ice will melt and he can be himself, Kim Nam Joon again and speak freely.

I AGREE! his voice is great ...in my opinion, I think he's the best singer..although Junkook can sing too, but his vocals are very... one-dimensional meaning he sounds exactly the same on every song. the falsetto, the usual breathy voice he uses all the time and occasionally he'll sing in a lower range which is nice. JHope has a great singing voice as well..he's almost better than Kookie. Jimin voice is beautiful, but he's not very stable and he can't control his voice. This could change b/c he's still really young. I think BIGHIT should get vocal teachers for them and they would become better than they are now. BUT they're ALL better than me cause I can NOT sing at all.

Their albums LY series were based on smeraldo legend myth and it has a sequence, it started with Jimin's serendipity which tells the story of love or the beginning of a relationships where everything are positive and great then the second song is JK song euphoria which is the feeling of overwhelming happiness then its V's Singularity when someone feels trapped in a relationship where he is afraid to be himself and finally he realises that he needs to love himself in the last song by Jin epiphany, They are so serious about the concept and so extra that they pretend to be a blogger and pretend to open a shop that sells smeraldo flowers (smeraldo flower doesn't exist).

The lyrics do have a meaning. Since the whole concept for the last albums/era is to love yourself, you tend to believe that love lies in loving others but you forget that you have to love yorself first. This song is part of the "Love Yourself: Tear" album that portraits the realizationg of being lost, sad and unhappy with how things are in life, being lost and in despair. Since the main theme is to love yourself, in the song he portraits how he thought that loving others and giving everything to them even tho you don't feel happy/confortable about it makes you feel lost, desperate and depressed even. It kinda portraits the break up of a person who has been struggling with loving others but has lost himself in the way. The reference of throwing yourself to the lake refers to the painting/story of Narcissus who was so in love with himself that drowned into the lake while loking at himself in the reflection. Also, portraits Ophelia -painting/Hamlet- who dies from suffering, grief and sadness. (I reccomend to look at the paitings and compared them with the scenaries in the music video so you can have a clearer vision of it). Taehyung has a very beautiful deep souful voice that goes really well with R&B, Blues, Soul and Jazz, as you heard, therefore I recommend you to react to his song "Stigma" that has a Jazz soul vibe and his vocals are incredible in there. Also, the thing about BTS songs is that they normally center around a certain feeling or situation, but the lyrics are so vague that they can be interpreted in many ways and a person can relate to them in different ways, as well. The way I interpreted this song is that it's about someone who's given themselves entirely to someone, to the point where they're no longer the person they used to be. "Have I lost myself or have I gained you"? Of course, it can also be interpreted as him singing his woes about idol life and never being his true self.

i love how you said that from the beginning of the mv you can tell it’s something special, and that just warms my heart. V truly is special. He really brings his own style and vibe to every bts song and i’m so glad he got to showcase himself with this song. It’s so beautiful and special (like you said). V himself said in a video i watched that he was so nervous to do a whole dance by himself and not relying on the other members. He’s done a solo song before (stigma, you should totally react to that too) but he’s never danced on his own and he did amazingly. he has so much talent and i just wish he would realize how special he is but we all have our insecurities and he isn’t the main dancer or vocal so he i can see how he must have been nervous and worried a bit. but it was so well received and he should be proud.

Also when it comes to BTS videos you always watch towards the end. There is always a clip at the end. Even past credits on some videos!! V has a unique face and voice out of the group. There are also theories with these videos!! The message they are trying to get out is to love you before you love yourself and not put on a mask just to impress others. Hence the masks in this mv. There is a whole storyline. These boys are very talented. They can dance, sing, rap and act. Some of the lyrics and imagery refer to some paintings.

I think the meaning is that he originally willing jumped into the lake and submerged his true nature for his loved one. Without realising it the lake froze over and he can’t break out again without shattering the perfect image that was created. That’s why I think the vocals are all soft and then towards the end you hear his voice crying out but it’s muffled, symbolising his true voice is trying to break through the barrier he created.

The lyrics were written by RM (the leader of BTS) and he’s usually very symbolic and uses a ton of metaphors in his writing. He likes to do storytelling and keep their songs open to interpretation. I’m pretty sure it stems from somewhere personal tho.

The lyrics are kind of haunting, He says he threw himself in the lake(because of someone) then a thick ice was formed. His other self, the one he shows the person, (alter ego maybe) goes to the lake and sees his real self. HE says, have I lost myself or have I gained you, I buried my voice for you. It's like trying to change who you really are for another person. If you remember the lyrics in the Truth Untold, They kind of elaborate on this. Singularity was the intro to that album. While in epiphany he realizes that instead of changing himself he has to Love himself. Epiphany is the intro to the next album that comes out the 24th. They are following a theme called Love Yourself and it's a journey to self discovery. Love your reactions!

It's so much fun to watch your videos because you really love music. Just like me! I mean, many don't give BTS or other singers a cance, because they don't understand what the singers are singing (language barrier), but there are various ways to understand the text anyway! With music you don't necessarily have to understand the text, because the feelings can also be conveyed with the melody! Unfortunately, that does not happen. I see a woman in love! 👏👏👏👏 The song is references to a story line BTS have been running. But individually, it can also represent "singularity", like 'i sacrifice for you' kind of feelings. Indeed their songs are full of meanings, often linked to books and symbolism. In this album, they talk about pain of Loving. The name of album is Love Yourself: Tear. The next album will be Love Yourself:Answer. Which talk about acceptance of self. U seen epiphany, "im the one i should love in this world" that tell that love towards others could be done after you love yourself first. Its a story telling songs. BTS also have this thing called "Bangtan Universe", they tell story that links with everything. ARMY havent figure out ALL yet. Its like hints, continuesly given each comebacks. Its like we being a detective to link puzzle to make everything in line. (i wont recommend you to focus in this, its a really long story. Begin when they debut in 2013. he is officially in the dance line and acknowedged by thier choreographer. but even he is nit included in the dance line before, He has the best dance ezpression of them all. I am proud how the traineRS ARE using V'S fancams to teach the idol trainees how to give the best dance expressions.

Namjoon's voice in ddaeng We have different taste so i respect your opinion. There are many videos of idols and rookies who said that they are using V'S fancams to study his expressions. Jimin maybe is the best dancer and Jhope but they saud V has the best expressions of them all.

@leyline farlier You're so annoying. I don't have a bias. I like all of the for many different things. You can't say "His facial expressions are the best" because that's just TASTE!! It's true that many people use Videos of Tae to teach trainees because he's very good at it but for me Jimin has the best stage presence because he fits my, again, TASTE...😑 There's no way to assess stage presence or charme, like for example vocals (does the person hit the notes etc.). The question is just, does it attract someone? And all of the boys attract different people and Tae maybe attracts the most. I don't know, and you either....because we didn't asked everybody, who knows them

He just recently became a part of the “dance line” which is something groups in kpop have that include the best dancers if the group. Sometimes they choreograph. But Taehyung (V) was recently added because their main choreographer saw him develop with this solo performance and decided that he had been working hard over the years and deserved to be a part of it, especially since he loves dancing. The other three that are part of the dance line we’re all dancers before they became BTS as a group, so it’s a pretty big deal that he is able to be part of it (rightfully so since he is such a good dancer.) Since you’ve reacted to these already, you should react to Jimin’s ‘Serendipity’ which was his solo intro for the Loveyourself ‘Her’ Album or Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ which was his solo intro for the Loveyourself ‘Wonder’ Album.
