Jin is singing the high "screams" you are hearing. This is one of his most vocally diverse songs. His background vocals are always incredible and it's unfortunate that they get credited to the wrong member frequently in reactions. His vocals are so unique and easily identifiable. I understand you're not a huge fan so it's understandable that you mix them up. I wish you were able to see more of the behind the scenes stuff that explains more clearly. For these specific high notes, I’m pretty sure it’s Jungkook. It’s sounds exactly like his falsetto/mix (think ‘Dope’ stages on LY tour). Is there any video of the guys explaining who did what for vocals on the song other than the story Jin told about the producer asking him to scream? The glissando sounds like from Jin, he actually can glide up to Bb5 I guess both mixed voice and head voice making him raelly good and can slay live also. Around the 7:35-mark, that's actually Tae's voice blended with JK's. (I don't know how they did it but lol you can hear it.) That's why it sounds lighter than Tae's usual tone. Likewise, the next bit is JK's voice mixed with Jimin's. Honestly their sound mixing is something else. This blending technique is something that was pretty prevalent on songs on Map of the Soul: /7/, actually, standing out especially in Black Swan (and evening We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal), and it's done pointedly, it seems, to show the group as a singular element. It is /all of them/ that makes up BTS. I think that's the point. You can have your biases, whatever, but every single one of those guys is important and necessary. While they all want to stand out and shine on their own level, I'm sure (and of course they do), they don't want to be put before anyone else. They want to be seen /as a group/, where every part is an important piece of the whole. It makes sense that this is the last song on Map of the Soul: Persona, as it introduces this style that branches into the next album with even more prevalence.
