The thing that many don’t know about Celine is that she still takes voice lessons which has allowed her to round out her range as she matures and helps her retain her the special qualities of her voice and range. She has a doctor on staff when she is in Vegas and whenever she goes on tour. When she was struggling towards the end of her Taking Chances tour she stopped in New York City so that she could see the specialist there that have treated famous singers for over 20+ years. They filmed it as part of a documentary on the tour and what she goes through to give the best performance possible. Celine has never been a diva, but she will go to great lengths to protect her voice and that might be why some think she is being a diva. She goes above and beyond for her fans and will stop to meet and sign things for them. When in Vegas her stage had regulated humidity as did her apartment where she gets ready. She does breathing treatments with saline to help protect her voice and vocal cords from the dry affects of the desert. She made millions for the owners of the hotel where she performed and I think it was extremely smart of her husband to require various things be done to accommodate her needs and those of her family who packed up and moved to Vegas with her. She is extremely funny and goofs around with the people around her. She is very humble and knows that there are no guarantees with what the future holds. She came from nothing and she respects that time in her life.

Céline Dion owned a mansion in Laval (Quebec) and only sold it a couple of years ago. When I was young, I lived a couple of streets down of hers and would often take walks and pass by in front of her house, which was located on a dead-end street... Once, she was gardening on her lawn and was singing and dancing like no one was watching. Made my day, but after that day, I never saw her in her old house again. I truly believe she is a down to earth person. Love her.

Seconded, Thirded and Fourthed... loved her since I was 12 years old watching Titanic. I got the All The Way album a few years after that. She didn't even like My Heart Will Go On and wasn't keen on doing it at all, but then it obviously became an ear-worm for legions of fans, so she was stuck with it. XD I think if I recall correctly she only ever did one take of it and that was the one that ended up on the album - she disliked it that much. She grew to like it with time though. TWENTY TWO YEARS LATER and she sounds as amazing now as she did then. It's a voice you know as soon as you hear it, and any good impression of it has to hit the listener in less than 2 seconds. Ariana Grande does a good one, adding so many weird twiddly bits (to use a very technical term) that it becomes hilarious. The best impressions are both good and funny. XD Celine is a dear hearted lady and she's hilarious! What gets me is that he harmonizes well with her! What cracks me up even more is the disparaging looks that the people were giving them until they realized it was the real Celine Dion. Celine is 51 this year, Rebecca! #lovelyCeline #NEVER #STOP #SINGING!

I LOVE her playfulness, the wicked good sense of humor, ability to poke fun at her own fame, to improv and change on a dime. Celine really does understand breath support, phrasing and how to use both head and chest registers. Ceine is that very rare perfect blend of great vocal production, personal warmth and communicative ability, making her a superb entertainer. Clearly top of her class. And James is the perfect Carpool Karaoke host: he brings out the best in everyone who rides with him...if they let him. That said, I am concerned about what seems to be Mme. Dionne's growing reliance on vocal mannerisms and tricks. Just look at, and listen to how her excess jaw tension deforms vowel; 'oooh' becomes 'errr', 'oh' becomes 'urhh', 'ay' becomes 'air'. And the yodel thing.... it seems to be coming back, but shouldn't it stay in Country-Western music? None of those mannerisms are because French is her native language. I enjoyed hearing you nail your imitation of Celine; you captured the very mannerisms I have described! And to show that I do NOT consider myself 1/100,000,000th of the artist Celine is, my self ego-deflating statement is, "Heck, I make more money in a year than she makes in a half a second.....

@@joshlayes3130 I don't agree she sounded exactly like in her younger years. And actually plenty of singers her age who sound(ed) great. I am not fangirling unrealistically. What I am saying is ..that performance at the Grammy Salutes Aretha was stunning. Would be for any age. It was a perfect blend of technique and emotion.Totally delivering the song and it's emotions. A true Show Stopper! As for age. Check out Tracy Nelson in 2012 at 68 years old and of course Streisand in concert 1994..available in full here on youtube. She was 50 at the time. Or Aretha around the same age. Dolly Parton. I think you are fooled by all that BS on that socalled "holy trinity" of Dion, and two singers who lost their voices quite early on, into thinking it is standard to sound as bad as Whitney and Mariah after 40. It is not standard. :-)

being Canadian and now living in Montreal I was never a huge fan of Celine growing up, I never owned a record/CD of hers but I can sing every one of her songs and I cry everytime she sings she has the most beautiful voice and her story is incredible. my most favorite christmas song is of her singing Oh Night Divine, now being 46 I can say I'm a huge fan of hers.

I literally shared that video on Twitter a while ago LOL! Céline is an actual Queen. This is by far the best Carpool Karaoke I have seen, my face was killing me by the end of the video I was smiling so hard!
