Who am I?
Expert singing teacher, specialising in teaching children and young adults in singing and musical theatre. She has worked with the likes of The Saturdays for MTV, on shows such as Just the Two of Us for the BBC and many more. Throughout her years of teaching she has judged in many competitions, judging Lucy Spraggan, George Samson, amongst others who have gone onto succeed in the business.

If you would look back at Christina's past songs including Hurt, The Voice Within and You Lost Me, she really does use her powerful voice selectively and begins with a quiet and calm tone which builds over the song. This is why I like her, because I feel she is artistic with her belting but I understand some people dislike this. Totally agree tho, this has made me want to see the movie.

That's why when a lot of musicals are adapted for film they add in a new song because none of them from a Broadway musical or original version of a movie can be considered. Madonna had a new song for Evita, Beyonce had a new one for Dream Girls that aren't in the Broadway versions things like that.

1. Xtina hates the "pretty" vocals. Linda taught her that there's beauty in imperfect vocals. That's why they used her first take in Beautiful. 2. Also she said that she wanted this version to be more theatrical.

She doesn’t hate “pretty” vocals, she said Linda Perry (her co-writer and producer on Stripped and Back to Basics aka her best albums her others don’t even come close to) taught her that not everything has to he pretty and that there’s beauty in imperfections, even while singing.

It's about insecurity, identity crisis, decisions about the future and youth difficulties and some of the best runs in Xtinas career. This one's is too much to make it fit in the movie, too theatrical, overpowering and unnecessary. By this I don't mean I dislike this version, is amazing, it's splendid but her first version is more in tune with the movie.

That's actually the worse advice they have given her. It's true up to some point, however Xtina has a problem, she over does it sometimes. She tries to be too raw and that can get unpleasant after a while, sometimes you need more polished vocals, also that advise made her disregard vocal technique a lot. Technique can be put aside to certain parts of the songs but it's the same, she over does it sometimes taking her into a vocal decline, hemorraging or plain develop nodules. Xtina is still young, should be on her second prime with a more mature voice and hell she can still sing, one or another mishap every once in a while like the National anthem or overdoing I will always love you tribute to Whitney, but this bad or lack of technique constantly has declines her voice a lot and very fast. Technique is something you can't always des regard otherwise her voice stops being sustainable and remember she has a very difficult repertoire, probably one of the hardest next to Mariah Carey's repertoire and that's saying a lot. They depend a lot on on their ship shape voice otherwise they can't even attempt. No hate to Xtina I love her, love the song, prefer the first version but this is beautiful and grandiose.
