The gender of the fairy is not upsetting. What's upsetting is that Billy Porter (name him, he's a very talented artist) reduces himself the ultimate gay stereotype- the only kind of role a LGBTQ+ person can land in a hit movie- and promotes monolithic thinking. He's iconic for his Broadway career. This feels like selling out.

Omg, Tristan reading the “fairy drag-queen mother” comments is everything!!!! In that accent! 🤣🤣🤣 that couldn’t have been more spot on and hilarious. I just love you, Tristan. 🙌🙌🙌 and yeah, those comments are hilarious. The whole movie was totally normal and ok until that “fairy drag queen mother” part, right?! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤣

"Bats in the belfry" is an expression people use to imply that someone is crazy or weird. I assume the belfry is the mind/brain and the bats represent the "crazy"

the thing i don’t understand about this is the amount of unnecessary songs that don’t move the plot along at all. this is a cinderella remake, we all know how the story goes. if they were original songs that gave some of the characters backstory then maybe i’d understand. the original songs they did have were good. it explained the new plot ( she wants to be a dressmaker). but like the could have cut out half of the songs and it would still make sense.

I grew up doing classical and jazz. But I also got into squeals and growls. My dad just showed me someone SO versatile. Called Floor - in Nightwish. And I’m astounded by how she’s taking care of her instrument and executing her voice. Would love to hear a review!

I don't know why but despite being subscribed to your channel for years, KZbin hasn't shown me a single video of yours for more than a year... I really thought you were taking a break from or possibly even quit this channel! But you've got a million more subscribers and you look fucking fantastic. I love the hair! Wtf KZbin, this is so weird. But a very welcome surprise.

Billy porter was on BROADWAY. And he was bloody amazing there and in this movie as well. Plus it's the 21st century, there are literally 5 different renditions of cinderella, go watch them if you want the female playing the godmother smh

It irked me how the cello “player” was doing pizzicato (plucking) when the sound was arco (with bow). Like what?! Would it have been that hard to get an actual cello player? Also smashing the cello…the less said about that, the better.
