In college I worked at an upscale tuxedo shop in Beverly Hills - and John Fogerty came into the shop one day to buy one for the Grammys. Nicest guy, super down-to-earth and friendly. Smokey Robinson came in later the same day for the same reason- also super nice. Meeting a couple of my heroes in one day was just amazing.

Wow, that's so cool. CCR is my favorite group ever started listening to them in 68, Susie Q. John was, performing at a concert in FL recently. Must of been great. That's,a great memory ull cherish forever.

In college my best friend’s girlfriends brother got married to a girl that was a nanny for John and his family. When they got married John sang at the wedding for them. I always thought that was very nice of him. That’s a thoughtful gift.

I was at an age where I didn't really know what ' Lookin' out my back door' was about but I loved it.. lol Also love the fact he(JF) still sings to this day and is on youtube. Him.. and Peter Green are 2 of my favs. RIP Green. Need to also review 'Need Your Love So Bad' by Peter Green(FWM)

Gospel like blues! Only heard this song once before. Beth, what I love about your reactions is that you allow singers to be individuals and don't try to make them perfect. There is definite room for perfection but raw music moves me more! Love it! Thanks so much!

I was in HSchool from 68-72. I played in the schools pep band for a couple years. The band was a big band feel, sales and brass. We covered several pop songs and big band tunes. We had a habit of saying dirty, dirty dirty' when one of those song came up and we played them differently, with a feel and extra rhythmic vibe that made us special. You gotta feel what you play, even on a baritone!

Great Reaction. FOGERTY'S voice carried CCR. In so much his band mates sued him after the band broke up. He was sued by his ex band mates and record company for sounding like himself and too much like CCR. The case went to the Supreme Court, There have been multiple other lawsuits between Fogerty, ex band members and CCR's old record company. Kinda sad really.

My first music teacher was of the opinion that you couldn't be a truly effective blues singer until you had fallen in love and have it fall apart badly; you needed that pain to bring it to your song. Always thought that was an interesting notion.
